Changing clothes into armor.

I deleted your other topic and moved this one to mod troubleshooting.

To answer your question, you need to use the Construction Set to edit the plugin (.esp file) and then find the armor entries that the plugin added and modify the settings which is as easy as changing a drop-down selection from Heavy to Light for each armor piece.

However, if you installed the .esp using an OMOD, you are in danger of losing your changes if you uninstall the OMOD...which will delete the plugin you modified and any subsequent install of the OMOD will re-install the original plugin. There are many ways to handle updating the OMOD with your changes or creating a new one but I won't go into that here as it would just be a bunny trail...but you've been warned about editing files installed by an OMOD (make backups).

In the Construction Set (CS) you can see which entries were added or modified by looking for the items with an asterisk beside the name. However, looking through the huge list of armors can be time-consuming and you may not find all the pieces (simply overlooking them). It might be easier to use a utility called TESsnip to open the plugin and look at all the entries in there...which are only the adds and changes. This allows you to know the exact form IDs and names when looking in the Construction Set.

This is the definitive resource for learning the Construction Set. It is called the CS Wiki which can also be accessed by clicking on Help inside the Construction Set.
