calling all pros

ok, so about 6 months ago i created a topic that recieved views but no responses, so now i have a brand new comp which is sick, and im back to oblivion, which brings me to a few questions im hoping can be answered

 

1. is it possible to make a mod that will display ranged and melee weapons, ie, bow and sword, on character when both equipted?

 

2. are there any armors resembelling hrist or valkyrie armor from the valkyrie profile games?

 

3. are there any animated wings, either usefull or asthetic, that are high quality?

 

if anyone can answer said questions much thx will head your way, even if helping me do them myself, i mod, but not oblivion, ive modded other games like d2, thank you

1. Nope, unless you had some very complex scripts that checked if you had any item in the game, and it wouldn't work with modded items.

Note: This would probably lower the framerate a ton, checking for all the possible weapons.

 

2. I haven't seen any, but I haven't exactly looked, either.

 

3. Midas Magic has some, but they're more floating blue tentacles than wings. Tried searching 'wing' in TESNexus?

 

I just checked, almost all of the animated ones are more magical wings than say, feather type wings. They could probably be altered, though.

1. I think this is a problem because you can't have both a sword and bow _equiped_ at the same time. If you were to do a search through inventory script that searched for a bow you had on you, what happens if you have two? Where would the bow and sword show up on your person if you are in unarmed mode? It would require hacking the player cell(?) to move where the sword and bow might show up if the sword is a back slot sword. I dunno if there is even a script command for finding currently equipped items.

i figured it would be implausible, but impossible, as you have mentioned, i was hoping against. As far as your comment is concerned on my end, i shall not even begin to waste my time with question.answer 1.

anyways, i thank the two of you for intelligently answering my questions, i feared against it but will have to make due with whats available and capable.
