Fallout NV Fake Full screen - how to make it work?

Downloaded the Fallout NV fullscreen mod that lets you play in windowed mode but looks like fullscreen. When I click on the exec for it the Steam launcher opens and I have to launch from that and do not get the fake fullscreen then.

 

I have seen videos of this mod working and they show just click on the exec shortcut and it goes right into the game, mine does not, it goes to the Steam launcher instead.

 

Anyone have a fix for this?

I had that same problem myself.

 

Just couldn't get the FFS [FakeFullScreen] & NV 4GB loader to run after countless tries but managed it somehow after a few experiments & googling.

 

What I did was to copy the downloaded files & pasted it to FNV MAIN directory:

 

1. Fallout_Fullscreen.exe

2. fnv4gb.exe & fnv4gb_helper.dll

3. NVSE files [nvse_loader.exe, nvse_steam_loader.dll, nvse_1_4.dll, nvse_1_4ng.dll, nvse_editor_1_4.dll]

 

Then ran the normal Steam launcher > Options > Under "Mode", tick on "Windowed" > Select display size I wanted game to run on > Close launcher.

 

I clicked on Fallout_Fullscreen.exe & voila ... !!!

 

Fake windowed & 4GB to boot ...

 

Note: Steam must be running before you click on FFS.
