hcir
I have seen and downloaded many mods to upgrade faces. The big question is which are/is the best to be using? Rhed, astarsis, wormgod, Don Salus etc? Any thoughts on this out there? Have some of Rheds and Astaris's stuff loaded and they are excellent but leave a lot of old low res faces out there in morrowind.
Death_Penalty
personally, i prefer rhedd. asitarsis' are basically a compilation of other's face mods, but with one major flaw. it REPLACES. this is very frustrating for me as i dislike many of the mod faces, and would prefer to simply have my character with a face from the mod. i have not tried wormgod, as his also contains natural skins, which is naked woman. i have no use for that. but rhedd truly has amazing work. here is his site http://home.wnm.net/~bgriff/MW_Home.html
Death_Penalty
oh, im sorry i forgot to mention that rhedd works together with his wife. they both deserve credit for THEIR amazing work.
Frosty McKleinBottle
Rhedd all the way! I use those faces all the time now. Before those came out, I only picked a certain female Breton or Bosmer character to play since they were the only ones that I wouldn't wince while looking at. The Nord hair and faces are particularly impressive. I think... I should probably hunt around for some decent High Elf faces, since they're a really good race... but the prepackaged faces aren't really quite my style yet. So, for a basic face upgrade, you can't beat Rhedd's.
twigboy1
Do the Rhhed downloads change NPC's aperance in the game or just your starting character?
Frosty McKleinBottle
Only when you start up a character. There IS a way to change your character around inside the game, but it involves using that in-game programming thing (`), so you'd be best off starting a new character once you install the plugin. twigboy1
Hey thanks for the info Frosty,I have to agree the Rhhed Art is great. It puts the ingame artwork to shame.
Frosty McKleinBottle
You bet! Ah, well. Maybe in the Elder Scrolls IV or another expansion pack, they'll have even better graphics. For when Morrowind was released, the graphics were decent, but they're not really known for "pretty" characters. Bethesda does great landscapes and dark storylines... See the Magic and Mayhem game--TONS of fun but... the characters weren't all that pretty. It may have been by design, though.
