ub3rman123
You need to change the color of the normal map's alpha channel. Try Apply Layer Mask and set it to black.
heavywaters
The normal maps alpha channel is called a "specular map". The specular map IS a mask, controlling where the item is shinney and where its dull. The right way to controll the amount of shine is in the nif file.In Nifskope under the NiTriShape block in the NiMaterialProperty set the "Specular Color" to black. This will effectively turn off ALL the shine, no matter what the specular map looks like. If you want some shine set it to a grey scale, 50% grey will be half as shinney as white.Use a shade of grey because making the reflection a different color than the light source (usually white) looks kinda weird. (unless thats the effect your after)
