two computers fallout stoped working

ok so ive been playing fallout on two different computers and just swapping the saved games between the two on one (System

i can play for about two minutes sometimes less and it freezes and i have to ctrl alt del to get out ive tried clearing old saved games and im up to date with the official patch

the game actually ran better on this one than the gateway go figure but it has everything the same as far as up dates and they both have all dlc on this computer it acts like fallout is going to start and crashes to the desktop this computer is used as a media center in my bed room so it gets used for that and fallout and some internet surfing fallout ran perfectly on thys system and all at once both systems are crashing when i try to play any help would be greatly appreciated

 

 

i really want to play again this game is bad ass on the 37 inch hd lcd tv in my room so lets start their

Could you have copied the Oblivion.ini file along with the save games? It must be diferent for each computer as it has the hardware info in it.

 

Try renaming the Oblivion.inl in the folder with the save games to something like old.ini. Then starting. The game will create a new Oblivion.Ini file based on the hardware it finds. You may have to change the screen resolution if it does not recognize your video card.

To reinstall, you first have to uninstall. And the game uninstall does not do a very good job. It leaves behind your save games, the mods (and any trash) in your data folder, and several entries in the Windows registry that can cause problems when you reinstall.

Try this instead.

It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.
