bben46
Could you have copied the Oblivion.ini file along with the save games? It must be diferent for each computer as it has the hardware info in it. Try renaming the Oblivion.inl in the folder with the save games to something like old.ini. Then starting. The game will create a new Oblivion.Ini file based on the hardware it finds. You may have to change the screen resolution if it does not recognize your video card.

bben46
To reinstall, you first have to uninstall. And the game uninstall does not do a very good job. It leaves behind your save games, the mods (and any trash) in your data folder, and several entries in the Windows registry that can cause problems when you reinstall.Try this instead. Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=240 It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.
