Enable global illumination, radiosity and shadows. 2) This is really key: the most important thing in making a convincing reflective material is having a good environment to reflect. If nothing else, set a spherical environment map with some good high-contrast areas. Right now it looks really flat, since it's just reflecting that plain red wall.
