Clint1337wood Posted June 26, 2010 Share Posted June 26, 2010 Well, my problem is, is that every time I attempt to level up or quickload (F9), Fallout 3 seems to freeze and become unresponsive. What I mean when I say that it freezes when I level up is that whenever I select which skills to level up, and choose the perk that I want and press done, it just freezes, just like when I try to quickload whenever I die. quicksilverva Posted June 27, 2010 Share Posted June 27, 2010 ok. the edited load order posted below should help with some minor things mod related due to some buggy coding (things getting striked through that werent supposed to have been, BBCode tags changing mysteriously) ill PM you the load order with the changes as for your issues, dont quicksave, highly unstable. instead, do a hard save: press ESC, click Save, then click New Save. and the level up freeze is/was a known issue with FOOK2 which may/may not have gotten resolved with the release of Beta 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Here's a link to my thread covering the topic: Crashes on Levelup and Loading Personally, I've given up on the problem. I simply restart the game when I want to load my game. For level up, I monitor my XP, and when I level up, I note which perk I take and how I distribute my points. Then I exit Fallout 3, launch FO3Edit and find the FormID of my perk. I also use a save file manager to change my character's level by one (using player.advlevel or player.setlevel crashes the game). I start the game and use 'player.addperk <Perk ID>' and 'player.modav <attribute> <amount>' to set up my stats correctly. It's painful, I know, but better than starting a new game due to corrupt save file. Nevertheless, if anyone finds a fix to this issue, please post it. :( I believe the problem, looking at your load order, is that you're using both Fook2 AND Fallout 3 Wanderer's Edition, which are not compatible with each other.
