rededge
Hi, I have searched this forum and Googled, but I'm hoping this is a quick fix- I am setting up a fresh install and installing everything I can with BAIN. I have downloaded all four RAR parts of Bomret's Texture Pack for SI, but when I attempt to install it starts to unpack the archive and then fails to extract? Little message box comes back with this - Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Mopy\basher.py", line 6220, in Execute self.data.install(self.selected,progress,last,override) File "C:\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Mopy\bosh.py", line 11062, in install installer.install(archive,destFiles,self.data_sizeCrcDate,SubProgress(progress,index,index+1)) File "C:\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Mopy\bosh.py", line 10266, in install self.unpackToTemp(archive,dest_src.values(),SubProgress(progress,0,0.9)) File "C:\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Mopy\bosh.py", line 10251, in unpackToTemp raise StateError(_("%s: Extraction failed\n%s") % (archive.s,"\n".join(errorLine)))bolt.StateError: Bomrets_Texture_Pack_for_Shivering_Isles_v1_part1.rar: Extraction failed So, any ideas please? (Obviously) I am new to using Wrye Bash, and despite all of the resources about I am finding it difficult, so please go easy on me! Thanks in advance. LFact
Just extract all parts to somewhere else, then make your OMOD or BAIN package. Of course, you can extract them directly into \Data\Textures if you do not mind to remove them later.
TodaY
This might have to do with the .rars not being named properly due to being uploaded (tes adds some funny numbers to the end of the file name). It should look something like >insertfilenamehere<.rar.001 , it should end on rar or on something like 001 / 002. You can safely edit the name yourself - the packages are already *snipped* up anyways xD. This is because the author included it in one archive split in 4 parts - they wont extract without the other rar being in the same folder. I hate that, mostly because it does more bad than good. Hope this helps ;]

Anyway you need to put all parts into same place, then try to install or extract it somewhere else, then make an install package.(usually splitting archive is for 'bypassing' upload size limit or users having slower connection. If a site has 100MB limit per file, you may not upload whole 110MB archive, but you may be able to upload two 55MB files.)
