dual welding?

Go to the very top of the forum you posted in. Find the pinned--yes, PINNED--thread that says "Got a request? Look here first."

Read it, and in the future look before you post.

I do not see any requests in that thread for dual-welding, or any sort of welding for that matter.

"No, you could not. Weapon types are hard-coded - new types of weapon cannot be created. Any changes like this must use existing weapon types with heavy scripting so that they appear to be a new type of weapon."

"Again:

No, cannot be done, don't ask.

It has been answered waaayy too many times to spend the time to provide you with a long and explaining response. Use the search function and look for the other threads, and read. "

"You might want to search to see if this has been asked yet (Read: lots of times). Guns akimbo is less likely to happen than winning every lottery at once, due to firing nodes, hardcoding, animations, etc."

"Actually, with current fose, it is not possible to do.

1) you cannot add new shooting animations, or holding animations, or reload animations, or aim animations, or putting away/drawing animations, only replace (meaning you'll screw something in the process of adding the dual wield).

2) you cannot have 2 "firing nodes". The game will only recognize 1, and will only shoot from 1. Meaning muzzle flash and bullets will only come from the first firing node found. The only way to bypass this is to change the model in real time after each shot, this would be very resource heavy for machineguns, and it cannot be done with current fose.

The only dual wielding currently possible without screwing anything, is dual melee weapons with a shape and grip that would look good with h2h fist animations."

In other words, CAN'T AND NEVER WILL BE DONE, EVER.

There's a narrow chance that someone could work some scripting voodoo to construct something bearing a resemblance, possibly even a striking one, to what people actually expect when they imagine dual-wielding in Fallout 3. The truth is, though, that it would be a hacky workaround with dozens of compromises to make it work, the product would most likely be garbage, and we would still have people making threads about it, asking for someone to do it better.

I swear I'm gonna start collecting the links to all the threads about dual-wielding, and post them every time someone requests it.

Someone really ought to sticky one, with a big ol' NO posted.
