Thandal
Morrigan is many. many things. One of them is strictly true to her word. Despite whatever feelings the Warden might have engendered, if she said she were leaving, I'd accept that she left. Her own pride would not allow her any other choice, and that, she has in abundance as well. [sigh]
brokenergy
Man, the romances in that game sound confusing. I know what you mean @Thandal: Yep that's true, she is true to her word. When she said that she has no plans for the OGB, she means it. But somehow I get the feeling that it is too difficult for her to move on and that remaining in the palace for a little while is her way of tying to give a proper farewell. Edit: spets, BW loves to keep you guessing and I think that DA2 would follow ME3 approach (when you die that's it, make a new one)

I just finished ME2, and the only one that did die was Jack ( I sided with Miranda in their little spat over me and lost Jack's loyalty). I didn't see an option to finish without surviving. Unlike DAO where there is the the US option, I did not see that in ME2.
brokenergy
Yes. As I recall you die when the ship is not upgraded, or if your crew is not loyal. Either way it would present a "what if" situation where Shepard doesn't do those things (and naughty you  how could you hurt Jack like that  . Try to improve your Paragon or Renegade next time [you need high Paragon or Renegade in order to do this], which in turn improves your charm and intimidate skills) and dies but it doesn't carry over in ME3. BW could pull the same card with DA2 (it already has with Awakening) where the US is a "what if" choice and the DR would be the "official" way of continuation as it has the most potential to a sequel. Yeah, I was at 75% paragon, and never could talk to her after that. But to get back on subject, , I have only seen one possessed cat in the entire game (including Awakening). Morrigan has always changed to a dog in my games, and that (*&^(& thing is even present at my funeral for the US. I never paid attention to the other dogs in the game because they didn't really do anything. Next time I get back to playing DAO I will have to look closer at them. I was thinking that when Morrigan changed it seemed a lighter colored version than the others, but like I said I wasn't paying that close attention either. Thandal
I always see her as changing into a white she-wolf, rather than a dog, after I refuse her offer.
ell46
Alistair would not have a major role in DA2 unlike Morrigan and Flemeth. He is not confirmed yet to return unlike the other two I have mentioned. Flemeth says 'you will not see her again of that you can be sure' so what makes you think they will bring her back?

I think I have read the same thing that brokenergy has that both Claudia Black (Morrigan) and Kate Mulgrew (Flemeth) have already been re-signed to voice in DA2. ell46
Perhaps Kate is going to do a different character, umm we will have to wait and see I suppose.
