SavageArtistry
As far as I know the older mods should work with the newest patch. They were probably released before the patch, and that may be the reason the old mods specify an old patch. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. David Brasher
I have not heard of problems with old mods not working on the new version of Oblivion. There are a few problems for modders when working with old mods and the new CS but from the gamer's prospective, I have not heard of any problems while playing the game. I think you should update to the new versions of Oblivion and OBSE.
TabuKuroshi
I highly doubt any older mods will not work with the most current versions of say the game itself, OBSE, and the like. What you are seeing in these older mods is the creator telling you that you need at least "X" version for it to work. What I mean is that when they were created the version they are stating that is needed was the newest version at the time. Remember many of the older mods have not been kept up on in some time for various reasons. So some of the info is out of date. As an example say the mod says, game version .155 needed, as well as OBSE version 13 (These are examples might not be actual version numbers). So as long as you have a game version .155 or above and OBSE version 13 or above it will work just fine.
bben46
The only legal older version that causes problems with mods is the Direct 2 Drive version. Due to extra DRM it cannot use OBSE or any mods that require OBSE.
