[sOLVED](I think)

See end of thread.

Hi everybody!

This problem is doing my head in completely and i can't seem to find anyone who has had the same problem.

I will probably have to try a fresh install (again).

Here's the problem.

I was running FO3 with FOMM, FOSE, Fellout and Fellout Nights. I have enabled it for Large address Everything was fine.

Then i installed RH_Ironsights, i was playing and got stuck in a wall, I resigned myself to going back to my last save to get out of the wall and i noticed that the game hadn't autosaved in all the time I had Ironsights installed.

I tried removing all the ironsights files, all that did was inform me that the save file relied on content that had been removed. But no change on the saving issue, I tried reinstalling ironsights but no change.

I tried saving using the console but the commands for load and save seem to have no effect. I type:

save newsave

When i hit return nothing happens, just a new line, same with the load command, other commands work fine, or if i type them wrong i get an error message.

Any ideas guys?

By hard save do you mean pressing escape to open the menu and selecting save?

Yes, that is what I meant.

Also, what is the path to the install location? Do you have the game installed outside of "Program Files"?

I have never heard of something like this.

The only thing I can think of would be to do a clean install, start the game until you exit the vault and make a save. Then add one mod at a time until the problem occurres. The last mod loaded would be what is causing the problem. However, I have never heard of this happening with the mods you listed.

Ok, so I think I have this solved, I know it seems to be a unique problem on this board but i'm gonna leave this here just in case.

Turns out it was not a mod problem but rather a windows problem. I have my folders outside of the Program Files(86x) folder and i had selected >Run as Administrator but this hadn't helped, this(i think) is because after changing the file structure of the game and opening it in Mod managers only the top level programme had Admin capabilities eg; Nexus Mod Manager(yes) > FOSE(no) > FO3(no).

To solve this i went to all the executable files involved and in the file properties changed the privilege level to Run as administrator.

This appears to have solved the problem, i do not fully understand it though.
