jaosals42
All I want to do is find a way to legally obtain the Mass Effect 2 DLC for PC some other way than getting it from the Bioware site, as every time I try to buy Bioware points to get the DLC, it says that my dad's credit card cannot be verified, and then the service charges a dollar fine every time we try to attempt this again. It makes no sense, as the card information is completely legit and the info we give is completely accurate, yet the error persists. Turns out, a little research shows that about half of the DLC buyers have this issue, yet the other half don't. If there is a way to fix this legally or another way to obtain the DLC legally, then please tell me how.
TheTerminator2004
I would suggest contacting their customer support, but from my experiences trying to solve the probloems I had with the DLC, I imagine that will probably be pointless - when I tried, I couldn't even find a customer support website that worked, let alone that was actually helpful. Then again, the US support may be better. I live in the UK, so it wasn't much use to me.

I've already read through several of the support topics on their official site, and none of the EA nor Bioware employees ever come to help people having trouble with the DLC. All I see are other players having to help each other.
TabuKuroshi
Recently My wife tried to use our card to purchase a WWE pay per view, she got the same verify error. The reason I mention this is because she was typing our address as St. instead of the way she originally gave the info as which was st She tried several times, then I gave it a shot and come to find out that was the issue. Apparently it has to be exact or you get an error at least for that site. Also make sure you are using the correct 3 digit number on the back of the card. It should be the last 3 numbers. I can't say this will help, but I saw your problem and remembered what happened to us. I figured I would just mention it in case

TabuKuroshi
Aww that stinks. By any chance do you have a CVS, Walgreens or another pharmacy type in your area? They have prepaid cards such as Vanilla Visa. You can buy them in certain denominations. Then you go to their site and register then with an address etc... which enables them to be used for online purchases. Maybe you could try that. evilneko
Borrow a friend's card and pay him back in cash? How do they charge the dollar fee if they won't accept the card anyway?
Gishank
No, there is no way to legally acquire the DLC other than via Biowares site, hell even if you attempted to pirate the files it'd fail anyhow as you need to login with your EA account for it to verify you own the DLC ;) -- Also, have you tried using a debit card instead of a credit card? jaosals42
I managed to finally download the file by obtaining the points from the EA site directly (legally of course) by looking "bioware points" up using those exact keywords. Thanks for the input guys, though now I think I can get future points from there later on.
