Campaigner
I'm finally attempting Blender, but I can't find a simple guide that's easy to follow. So, I'll ask here in hopes that someone can help me figure this out. I want to start off simple, and make a tabard that looks like a T on a person (the I of the T being a flowing tabard down to the knees and covering only a small portion of the front and back, the --- part being the cover for the breast and back). All the tutorials I can find make things sound difficult and only show a small thing while leaving you guessing, and youtube videos never help because I can't even find something similar. I'm trying to work on HGEC AA body, as that is the end goal due to there being very few clothes on the site that work with this body size. Could someone give me an easy to follow way to do this? I am still scouring the net for tutorials that are simple and easy, but asking experienced people never hurts.
Corthian
Try starting at Blender.org they have all the basic tutorials you will need. Once you have some modeling experience then you can worry about the more Oblivion specific learning later.
Genzel
If you want to start off simple and make anything for Oblivion, you should start with weapons. Weapons require no rigging, clipping fixes, and are overall the easiest to do. Do some of the tutorials from the aforementioned site, and then make a simple sword. Here is a specific blender to oblivion sword tutorial that goes step by step, no previous knowledge required. http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Custom_Sword_in_Blender
