Thankful the odds are not more overwhelming, Brock hastilly opens up a jug of Sujamma, letting its warm fire run down his throat and into his veins. Immediately he feels more capable of dispatching these foes, although a bit duller of mind. Rather than waiting for the guards to attack, Brock races forward to meet their charge, Midnight raised threateningly. Choosing his opponent, he veers to the left, leaving Alenee able to engage the latter. The weapon glimmers slightly, as if anticipating unleashing its magic in combat. Swiping it with bonecrushing force, Brock's morningstar whips towards the a guard's sword arm, seeking to maim the arm, thus disarming him. Even before the attack is completed, Brock raises his buckler to intercept the inevitable return thrust.

Taking advantage of Brock's charge, Alenee shifts her pike to bow form. She pulls back the string, then lets the second guard slip into alignment with her aim. She releases a single arrow at what looks like the weakest point in the guard's armor.

Avelyn pulls out his staff and rushes at the Guard the man is fighting. having a feeling that if the lady could change her pike into a bow, she would do fine on her own.

Once he is ithin range of the guar, Avelyn palces his left foot outward for support and brings the staff around in a long, arching curve.

Addressing Avelyn

After seeing the man engage the gaurd you forget your task and look over at a tied up guar.

Without much effort at all you find a nearby tied up guar and smash it over the head with your staff. With your buckler at the ready you find yourself suprised that you killed the lulled beast with one swift blow.

Nearby you see some other people about to take on some GUARDS.

Addressing Brock

Your first attempt fails as you swing at the guard who moves dartingly away from the blow. He returns a hard chop with his now unsheathed ebony shortsword that is met by your shield, though the force of it sends you to the ground...and hard. Your shield is pretty much in splinters, and is barely held together with some iron ties on the back of it.

He raises his sword over his head and starts to bring it down on top of you

Addressing Alenee

You see brock bravely try to take on one of the guards but is soon thrown to the ground with a rather impressive force.

Having taken aim at the second gaurd you see Brock in dire danger. Letting your arrow fly at the second gaurd it bounces off their bonemold armor. A valiant effort but for some reason you get the sense that their armor isn't a standard build. Normally your arrows have no trouble at all piercing even the best forged bonemold.

You also notice a man with a staff walk up to a tied up guar and beat it over the head with a staff.

Addressing All

As you stand amidst the fighting several more Hlaalu Guards step out of the shadows, swords drawn. Two aim the points of their swords at Brock, who is helpessly on the ground.

The others stand at the ready...they charge at you.

From behind you hear the shouts of several others, sprinting down the street in grand fashion seven knights, ominously clad in the most beautiful armor you have ever seen, settle their movement by you side. Swords drawn, they point them at the Hlaalu guards.

"We know what you really are...traitors. So does she, the eyes of Mephala are upon you!"

A battle cry is given out by a Hlaalu Guard and they all charge at you; the ones on Brock draw their swords away and aim them at the new arrivals.

"He cannot get away," one of the knights orders, "if he does He will know of her plan, and that cannot be."

"FOR MEPHALA!!!!!"

OOC: wesaynothin I know you meant guard but I felt like having a little fun with the typo. Hey over 100 posts and 1000 views, not bad for my first RP. And this is just the first scene mind you.

Dizzied from the overwhelming assault and bewildered by the following sequence of events, Brock pulls himself back up with on his elbows, and after a brief stumble, is back on his feet. Rubbing his eyes a brief moment to clear the double vision, he manages with some difficulty to focus on the events before him. After taking such a beating from only BLOCKING a blow, Brock is not eager to renew a confrontation, particularly while unsure of the motives of the new arrivals. Lowering his weapon, he prepares a spell he'd learned as a child, Star of the West, and waits for an opporunity to throw it into the fray.

Avelyn runs away from the fallen GUAR, towards the only two people around who don't seem to be Daedric Worshippers.

"He-Hello. Any idea whats going on?" Avelyn asks the two.

OOC:nuh nuh nuh... Thanateros forgot his own rule. No OOC's. (Have to get u back for the guar thing :P )

And the Hlaalu guards are attacking the newcomers, right?

Addressing All

As the Hlaalu Guards sprint towards you and the seven other knights it becomes a bit more clear that they aren't exactly Dumner. Tearing off their helms you can distinctly see that in fact they're Dremora.

The seven knights greet their front by charging themselves, but in a much more controled and focused effort than the seemingly anger driven Dremora. As the knights clash several of them bounce off of the shields of the defending Dremora and take what appear to be nasty gashes from their swords. However, not a scratch appears to have landed on their glimmering armor.

The combatants seem to be evenly matched, neither side given way to the other in terms of skill or stamina.

Avelyn, you recognize these seven as the fallen priests that became possessed and marched out of the temple.

In the background, you all can still hear the cries of the slaughter that's going on.
