Peregrine
"You guess correctly," she replies. "I am here on business for Lord Andrano. I am Alenee B'Elen, emissary from Habassa. I come with full authority to negotiate on behalf of my House, or to assist his lordship myself. I understand if he is busy at the moment, would you give him my message along with a request for a meeting at the earliest opportunity?"
Sol'Kanar
"It seems our conversation was not meant to last. We'd best clear out before the fumes themselves dull our minds. Simply knock on my door if you wish to converse," Brock stated to Nispel. "Barkeep! We'd like our room keys."
thanateros
Addressing Alenee"Very well then," obviously not at all pleased with his offer being refused, "as his hirehand I'm required to give him this message, but I'll make no such further efforts on your behalf. If you want to see him personally than you'll present youself more respectful to his Lordship's house AND kin." He violently snatches the message away from her, turns and briskly walks away, not saying another word. A guard, standing in the doorway belts out in what could be interpreted as a laugh, but quickly covers it by coughing. Recomposing himself he addresses you, "that'll be all, you are no longer needed here." He opens the door and scoops his hand out the door, motioning for her to move. Once outside the door slamb behind her. Not a very welcoming first encounter it seems. Addressing Brock and Nispel "huh huh, certainly," he smirks, dissappearing behind the bar. Pulling out one key on a lanyard he hands it to Brock, "Our rooms have two beds, so iiiit shloulnt bee a problum wold'it?" Not really interested in actaully seeing if it would be a problem he resumes cleaning the tavern.
Sol'Kanar
Glaring at the barkeep, Brock turns to Nispel. "Err.. it seems the friendly barkeep deemed it necessary to only give us one room," Brock said, turning a light red color.
Peregrine
Annoyed at the man's rude behavior, Alenee turns and walks quickly away and into the city. Confusion and suprise at her own weakness fill her mind as well. "He wasn't that bad," she thinks with a bit of regret, "and company here would be nice....." "Oh get over it, its obviously some kind of mind control," she whispers to herself, trying to clear her mind. In need of some time to think, she wanders the streets randomly, though moving in the general direction of an inn she remembers. Even the occasional party of obviously drunk adventurers fail to attract her attention. Comments which would have resulted in a swift death for the man involved pass barely noticed throuh her mind.At last she reaches The Crystal Ember. Suprised at the lack of noise coming from inside, she looks up again, uncertian that she is in the right place. A glance at the sign above the door confirms her memory, and she walks in the door. As she steps into the room, she finally witnesses the cause of the silence. With a bit of sympathy for the inn's owner, she wonders what disasterous party must have taken place here to create such a mess. Spotting the owner behind the bar, she walks over and taps him on the shoulder. "I would like a room for the night, if you have any available. Just name your price." Ashjam
"Hmmm... I dont mind, as long as you put your "wits" to yourselves tonight... and it DOES give us the opportunity to talk a bit. Because it seems that we are both looking for the same person here..." With that, she takes the key out of Brocks' hands and goes "up" (or wherever the beds are). Sol'Kanar
Giving a quick glance to the newcomer, Brock follows Nispel into the room and closes the door. "I suppose we should start with introductions. My name's Ju-..." Brock starts to say, then coughs. "Brock," he grunts out.
Peregrine
"Fine," she replies, taking a few gold coins from her pocket. She places them in a pile on the counter. "Here's your gold, now which room is mine?"
wesaynothin
Avelyn walks into Suran, his robes wrapped around him. He head to the Suran Tradehouse. Aware there are probably many people already there, he walks up some outside stairs, and tries to haul himself onto the roof. When he makes it up, he pulls a travel-blanket out of his pack, spreads it on the roof, and lays down. "I'll visit him tomorrow..." He mumbles to himself before falling asleep.
