Addressing Alenee

The Inn keeper hands you the key and returns to his duties behind the counter. You can smell the tavern is filled with the aromas of smoke, ale and cleansing agents. As you prepare to head upstairs you can hear the Inn kepper mutter something to himself in clear earshot.

"Ize non 'pectin teentwy guildurs, musta non compend mi. Toe mi non complane." He ruffles through the gold given to him with his index finger, the pile of coins cupped in his other palm.

For those of you wondering what's up with some of the language I'm using it as a literary device that adds to the story, this character in particular talks with a normal Imperial voice, as if this were common tongue. It's not slang and he doesn't have an accent to indicate he is uneducated. He speaks in the normal meter of any other Imperial.

Alenee heads upstairs, then down the hall until she reaches her room. Though it is not exactly the highest luxury, any form of rest would be fine with her right now. She takes a quick look around the room, then satisfied there is no threat, walks over to the bed. She takes an ancient dwemer clock out of her cloak, then drops the rest of her clothes and equipment in a pile by the bed, the pike on top, within easy reach. She turns a few small gears on the clock, setting it to wake her early the next morning, then sets it on a nearby table. Finally, with a satisfied sigh, she lays down, and is quickly asleep.

Addressing Avelyn

While sleeping soundly and unnoticed on the top of a roof you are suddenly jolted away by a rather lewd noise echoing off of the mountains. Sounding deep and resonating it initially seems like a volcanic erruption is occuring nearby but when you strain your ears you distintly notice there is a meter and syntax; clearly this is a very powerful voice.

You can't make out what it says, the words are too slurred together to make any sense of them. However one word does stand out that you are sure was Boethiah, but you can't make up your mind to whether or not your just convincing yourself of it.

Addressing the Inn Characters

All of a sudden you are woken from your sleep by a deep resonating noise coming from the direction of the mountains. To you it sounds nothing more than a nearby volcanic erruption, but it seems all too close for this part of the island. Looking outside you clearly see several guards have drawn their attention towards the mountains. You also see the outline of a figure on top of a nearby roof.

After several moments the sound tapers away, settling an eerie calm on the entire city. Several of the more stout adventurers have gathered outside their places of rest and begin to talk rather loudly. Making sleep, for you, a seemingly impossible task.

A noise in the night awakens Alenee. All traces of sleep gone in an instant, she rolls off the bed, coming up in a crouch, pike in hand. A quick glance around the room reveals no immediate threat, both doors and windows are apparenly secure. She walks to the window, catching the last bit of events outside. With a bit of suprise and confusion, she tries to spot some detail of the dark figure, but with no luck. As the sound dies away, she dismisses it as something for later thought, and returns to her bed. Annoyingly, a group has already gathered outside, and their shouts disrupt her attempts to return to sleep. Thoughts of a few heads decorating her pike flash through her mind, but she decides it a far better idea to avoid attracting more trouble than necessary. Instead, she burries her head under another pillow, and tries to block out some of the noise. Her efforts find little success, and she drifts between sleep and consciousness for the next few hours.

Eventually, the first light coming through her window convinces her to abandon her efforts. She picks up her pike, then goes through the few training exercises the tight space will allow her. The movements come with the unconscious instinct of long experience, and she draws new energy from the embrace of her goddess. All fatigue leaves her, and after a while, she feels well equipped for whatever trouble the day will bring.

Addressing Avelyn

As you dash through the city streets you can clearly tell that the groups gathered outside of their Inns have worried conversations. You hear things like, "There's no way, not even for a cavern full of gold would I take on something that could cause that," and "Who does that Andrano guy think he is trying to get us killed like that."

Several onlookers notice you moving out of the city, some laugh at your recklessness, others think of you as insane.

Once out of Suran and on the road a sudden fear, like a knife in the heart, washes over you. It is almost painful to take any steps towards the mountains, but still you endure, eventually being used to the pain in your chest.

After walking for a solid two hours you come to what you believe might have been the source of the noise, a Daedric Ruins scattered through a lava flow. The wrestless spirits of the Daedric dead lash out at you as you stand there on the edge of the ruins, "Come....join us," they whisper in your ear, none sounding like the voice that boomed from above.

This continues for quite some time, until all of the voices cease and you begin to hear heavy footsteps fall to the ground. Though you aren't entirely sure, by the way this creature breathes you think it to be a Daedroth. The once beautiful clear night sky, full of stars, now seems to be a veil of terror, keeping you from seeing what approaches.

Addressing Avelyn

As you position yourself with the moon to your front, from behind a nearby ruin the snout of a Daedroth pokes out. Its nostrils flare as if to smell for intruders. Several seconds pass and it remains idle; then it belts out a loud howl, clearly an alarm to alert its neaby troupe.

You hear the sounds of several pairs of footsteps coming from a distance away. The snout of the close Daedroth dissappears behind the ruin, you don't know where it went.

Your heart starts to beat loudly in you head, the addrenaline is pumping wildly throughout your veins.

A low growl pierces your ears. From behind you.

The faint pink that signals the sunrise starts to intrude on the night sky.

Addresssing Inn Characters

The morning peace in the Inn is suddenly broken as a Hlaalu guard marches through the hall belting at the top of his lungs, "A rather unfortunate soul has taken a needless risk and now lies dead several miles out of town. His body is dismembered much in the same fashion as the slave troop; we need several persons to secure the area while Lord Andrano summons an investigation."

His speech continues, alluding that an incoming merchant stumbled across the poor soul while delivering a shipment of guar hides en route to Molag Mar.

OOC: Ashjam is not posting, so I'm going on without him. If Ashjam is still here, it will be assumed we've introduced ourselves to one another, spent the night at the inn, then parted ways for the moment.

IC: Leaving Nispel to sleep, Brock enters the hall just in time to hear the guards summons.

"I will aid in this task, guardsman. However.. I am no coward, but I would rather not meet the same creatures this person met alone. Who among you all is brave enough to accompany me?"

OOC: Sorry it was really late and all... yes, we introduced, and talked a bit.

IC: Nispel tried to sleep through the night, using an extra pillow to block the noise. when Brock gets up, she waits until he leaves the room, After that, she quickly gathers up het stuff, dresses, and also walks down into the inn.

"Can anyone here tell me more about that noise we heared last night ?"and, adressing the innkeeper, "or is this a normal noise here,... you then might need to check your roof or something" she says, with a smile. She hopes to get some info here on this, from either the innkeeper or whoever is in.
