Addressing Nispel, Brock, and Alenee

As you gather downstairs a Hlaalu guard accompanied by an Imperial guard stand among several others who have heard the call for aid.

"Of those among you willing and able we need several volunteers to secure the site. Some have already decided to take up the task."

Hearing these words dissuades the majority of the gathered people and they head back to their rooms.

Turning to Nispel the Imperial answers your question, "No, we don't know where it came from and we don't know what it is. But given that shortly after a dead body appeared on the roadside we think the two events are related. Certainly you can find out for youself, and your service would put you in high regard with Lord Andrano. The choice is yours of course, and there is likely to be considerable physical risk involved if whatever attacked the merchant is still about."

The morning horizon pink encroaches on the night sky; the light of day lifts your spirits with the promise of things revealed.

The guard's words interrupt Alenee's concentration, bringing her once more fully awake. Suprised at the early opportunity to start the job she had come to do, she throws on the closest clothes and walks over to the gathering group. She arrives just in time to hear Brock's last words. "I will join you," she declares, then turns to the guard. "I missed the full speech, would you mind telling me all you know about this situation?"

Addressing Alenee

He looks at you, slightly annoyed and gives out a blatant sigh.

"A rather unfortunate soul has taken a needless risk and now lies dead several miles out of town. His body is dismembered much in the same fashion as the slave troop; we need several persons to secure the area while Lord Andrano summons an investigation."

After he finishes he and the other guard walk out of the Inn, as he leaves he declares, "Just follow the road towards Molag Mar, you can't miss it. Try and keep others from viewing the mess."

The door creaks closed behind him, the barkeeper looks at you all with an odd expression, "Don't 'spuze yuull bi cming 'round suun aigan?"

Satisfied that the guard can't provide any more useful information, Alenee returns to her room. She finishes putting on her armor and weapons, the hurries back out, not wanting to miss her share of the job (and more importantly, its rewards). On her way out the door, she tosses a few gold coins to the barkeeper. "This should pay for my room for the next few days. I have no intention of meeting my gods this soon!" With that, she walks out the door. A quick glance around to reacall the directions, and she heads off down the road.

AvelynRuns at the Daedroth. 15 feet away he starts to zig-zag in an unusual pattern to avoid the Daedroth's poison spells. (If) He reaches the Daedroth, he tries to bring his staff into it's stomach, and then bring the staff up and into the Daedroths snout. All attacks are based on making the Daedroth quiet so it does not call it's pack.

Addressing Avelyn

You turn around to see two Daedroths staring you down from behind, but they haven't done anything. By all accounts their merely looking you over. As you spring towards the Daedroth behind the ruins the two from behind charge at you. Hearing their footsteps get closer and closer, you begin to wonder whether or not charging was such a good idea.

The Daedroth behind the ruin stands before you, almost as if you don't even exist. As you make your attack it **side steps out of the way, as though it took no effort at all**

Obviously, you feel, if it wanted to kill you it already would have, but for some reason it seems content simply dodging the blows. The other two Daedroths get up to you and **try to tackle you but they both miss** their claws scraping nothing but thin air.

Without noticing them approach, a man dressed in flowy black silks and robes with deep purple trim walks confidently among the scuffle, his face covered except of the eyes with a mask. The three Daedroths give up trying to tackle you and take their place by this mysterious figures' side.

"Why have you disturbed our resting ground....fool, you should not have come here, now we cannot let you go so easily." Motioning to the Daedroths they move from his side and start to close around you.

Addressing Suran Characters

The morning sun warms the land, yet the air is cool and crisp as the year begins to wane into coldness.

Traveling along the road for a solid two hours before reaching the site you are starting to feel tired from the mundane trek. Now you can clearly tell you are in the Molag Amur region, barbed plants, ash cloudes, and lava flows have turned this region into a most desolate place.

What you find is the most grusome bisembowelment of a single being you've ever seen.

Their stomach has been torn open, their entrails strewn across the the immediate area. By the looks of things, all their possessions have been taken from them. A rather odd symbol has been carved into their forehead.

The center of it is an eye, jutting out north, south east and west of it are spikes. between them are shorter spikes:

\|/

-O-

/|\

It looks like an isignia of some sort, but nothing you have ever seen on this island.

<OOC, I'm not going to be around this weekend, for those of you in the same area I highly recommend for you to roleplay your characters as you are just sitting around for a relief patrol to arrive>

Trusting the nord's sense of direction, Brock follows Alenee out of the inn. It is a long boring walk.. and when the group reach the conclusion of the trek, Brock decides it wasn't such a boring hike after all. He approaches the corpse, where he is momentarilly taken aback by the gruesomeness.

"Let's set up camp about 50 paces further up the road, shall we? I'd rather not have to smell that thing all day."

With that, Brock steps lightly around the carcass, walks a good distance, then sits himself along the road's edge, lighting up his skooma pipe. Setting his mace and buckler next to him as to be close at hand should he need them, Brock takes a deep pull on the pipe and allows the blessed skooma to dull his cravings.

OOC: sorry I haven't posted, but you guys post a LOT!

IC: Baenroth comes running down the path from the direction of Molag Mar, breathing heavily. All the while, he looks over his shoulder with his crossbow pointed in that direction. All of a sudden, unexpectedly, he trips over something, and is thrown to the ground. His first attempt to get up is unsuccesful, but on the second, he makes it. Sensing some liquid on his face, he feels it, and his hand comes away red. That's odd; his fall wasn't THAT severe... He looks up and is startled th see six eyes staring back at him. He looks around, still breathing heavily, and sees the body. He takes a step back, pulls out his canteen, and washes off his face. He says to the three in front of him, "Uh, wha....? Did you do this? If you did, I don't want any trouble. I'll leave you alone; I was just on my way to Suran..." he is about to run off when he sees that the body is too decayed to have been freshly killed. He then looks up, puts away his crossbow, and says, "Sorry. My name's Baenroth. You?"
