Asleep on a flat spot of ground nearby, Alenee misses the new arrival. Finally, Avelyn's words break through her tiredness after the past night. With a bit of effort, she stands up and looks around. The change in sun tells her, with a bit of annoyance, that she had slept far longer than intended.

She brushes a few leaves out of her hair, then turns to address Avelyn. "Nope, none at all. We've been hired to keep this area under control until an official investigation arrives. Guess they don't want anyone else ending up like that guy." She points to the bloody remains. "So since you're obviously not here for the same reasons as the rest of us, why did you come?

"Well, that was interesting," Alenee says to the party. "Bets on whether he was the killer?" she asks in a joking tone. Then, with no small amount of annoyance, she continues. "So when's our "Imperial Investigation" going to get around to coming out here? I mean, I'd hate to object to getting paid for an easy job, but this is getting a bit boring...."

Addressing Road Party

After nearly baking in the sun you finally see in the near distance a troupe of Imperial Guards with some 'official' looking personnel. Clearly they're heading in you're direction. Marching up to you the group the lead guard decrees, "Your services are no longer needed, the investigators have arrived, take your purse of 25 gold each and forget you were ever here."

He turns his back to you and starts addressing the others in a language you don't understand. Highly odd for an Imperial lot.

Addressing Shadow

Upon seeing Umbra you fire your bow, the arrow flies in a staight line right at Umbra. Your spirits start to lift as you see it near his head. Just as it lands its mark Umbra bats the arrow away with no effort at all. Casts a glance at you that could melt ice and starts the charge feriously in your direction; sword drawn and clearly out for blood.

Relieved that her duties are finally over, Alenee takes the gold and walks back to the others. "What a waste of a day, and for only 25 gold," she says quietly to the party once the Imperials are out of hearing range. "Oh well, at least no losses for once. And who knows, maybe with this done the Hlaalu will be in a better mood and I can get some real work done!" She then continues in a bit happier tone, "Anyone want to go see what entertainment we can find in town? I know I could use a distraction from this mess."
