Annoying sound issue

Don't know if its a hardware issue of software or oblivion itself but every time i start walking and cast a spell like a healing spell the sound stutters but when i don't move/walk the sound is fine this also applies with everything i do like swinging a sword. My oblivion had mods so i decided to uninstall oblivion and made sure everything was removed and the ini files where also untouched and i updated all my drivers (all where updated already but just to make sure). So i installed oblivion once again clicked new game and went outside and started walking and casting your first restoration spell (can't remember the name) and the sound issue was still there :S i tried a couple of fixes like the Unofficial patch or the quite feet MAX or changing ini settings for audio like from hardware to software and my own soundcard settings i disable all effect (i have a Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro Series) still it didn't work! So i was wondering if somebody here could help me fix my problem its totally ruining the gaming experience. Thx in advance!

I assume you have onboard sound. Turn down Hardware Acceleration in your dxdiag menus, and use the following tweaks: http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=oblivion_ini_tweaks#OnBoardSound

When i type dxdiag there is no disable Hardware Acceleration? yes i have an onboard but my X-Fi soundcard is set as the primary device for sound not the onboard. Could it be something with oblivion or is it still my hardware/software?

its really strange because when i had win XP i did not have this issue. could it be its something with win 7

that line alone makes this sound like a UAC issue.

did you install this game to the default location (hinty - very very bad idea)

YES! i fixed it. i downloaded the Creative X-Fi Alchemy and put oblivion in to the list to support my soundcard and the sound is good again :D yay!

i now have another ini file in the oblivion folder named dsound and look like this :

Buffers=4

Duration=25

MaxVoiceCount=128

DisableDirectMusic=0

There is one for your video card too. There is also a 3D Sound option in the Oblivion.ini, in case you are interested. Just search the file for "3D".
