Freezing when attacking

I downloaded a bunch of mods but before I installed any I made a backup of my data folder then installed them all. After doing so and launching Oblivion, everything seemed fine until I pulled out my sword and attacked as soon as I click the attack button it freezes, you can still hear the music and all but I can't move.

I disabled all the mods I had installed and used my backup to restore everything as it was and it's still freezing, any solutions or something that's causing this?

Please, post your Dxdiag. You should test mods one at a time. Do not go the pile on route. You are bound to run into issues. Try a clean boot as well. Regenerate your Oblivion.ini too.

This is weird, I loaded up a different save and it worked just perfect. Could it be that the save file is corrupted?

-edit- nvm problem is still there.

Do you have Oblivion installed outside of the default directory, Program Files? Many user suggest C:\Games as an alternative.

Edit: Try resetting your codecs and a clean boot. For resetting your codecs, you can use the K-Lite Codec Pack (basic or standard, both are fine.) After installing, there will be a 'Quick Codec Config' shortcut in the app's Program Files menu. Use that to try to fix/reset your current codecs.

I actually did the resetting codes thingy earlier since I saw that as a solution earlier while I was searching but that didn't work, already did a clean boot, but after disabling a mod it finallly stopped happening. I'm not sure what I did but I'm sooooooooooo happy i can play again, thanks a bunch for your help Tom. :)

Well, let me rephrase that, it was an older mod which I had installed which I didn't disabled. It was Ruined Tails Tale, which I had actually just finished, and I don't wanna post in the mods thread since I hardly get a response from anyone whenever I 've tried. :|
