IndorilTheGreat
So, I'm heading off to college this next fall, and I would love to recieve your excelent opinions on which laptop I should get. Cost is not an issue (preferabally under $10,000 though  ). I am looking for something that will be relatively top-grade for the next 5 or so years. As I will be majoring in engineering, I am going to be doing a lot of CAD (Computer Assisted Design) work, as well as renders, animations, etc. I am also hoping to be able to play games at relatively good quality (and performance), so I will need a good graphics card, lots of RAM, and a very large hard drive. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks. Cheers,IndorilTheGreat

IndorilTheGreat
Awesome. I'll check that out. I would prefer to have it be more than a bit less than $10k... Maybe. :P
Illiad86
If you want you could get a laptop designed for CAD, it will play games, but not as good as a gaming laptop. Really depends on how well you want the games to run...and how cool you're gonna keep the thing  If you get a good gaming laptop, it'll play games and run CAD very well. Unless you're doing some crazy skyscraper or something, a gaming laptop will be perfect for both.
