pkleiss
If you are indeed having a UAC issue, you can pick any one of these solutions: 1. Install your game to your Root C: (or D: if you have one) drive. Like C:\Games\Fallout3\2. Remove the security from your OS.3. In your \Fallout3\Data\ folder, look at the top right. There should be a button called 'Compatibility Files'. Click that to find your FOSE files. You can then copy them from there to your Data folder.4. Run FOMM (or whatever you use to start the game) in Administrator mode. Right-click on the icon and select, Run as Administrator. Note: These solutions were taken from a solution for the Geck not being able to see users mods and modified for your issue. Some may not work as suggested as I don't have Vista nor Window 7 and can't verify them myself. And has been said, installing the game outside of the Program Files folder is the best solution. falloutperson416
How exactly do I remove the security? That sound like the easiest solution to the problem... I don't want to have to move Fallout and all, and Running it as administrator does'nt work.
pkleiss
Disable UAC.
falloutperson416
Yeah... I've had that disabled for a while now (Months) Long before I had ever heard of FOSE :(
pkleiss
I would say that your problem is not a UAC issue, then. Are you abso-funkin-lutley sure that all the FOSE files (the .dlls & such) are in your \Fallout folder and not \data or some other folder? They do have to be in the same folder as the fallout.exe. falloutperson416
I abso - funkin lutley know that the FOSE laoder is (That line is gold)... Do you think it would be easiset to delete FOSE, then re - install into my Fallout folder?
pkleiss
Look at this pic. Its an image of my fallout folder with all of the FOSE files highlighted. Your fallout folder should have all these files as well. If they aren't there, then, yeah, uninstall and extract all of the FOSE file from the archive into this folder. I have no idea how to place a thumbnail into a post, do you?
