JbMcfee
So I'm trying to fast travel to Arlington Library and my game CTDs, strange considering not 10 minutes before it had worked fine fast traveling to and from... So I figure I'll go to the Citadel and walk from there but always after passing a certain sort of "line" my game CTDs. I ran a master update just in case and tried disabling a few of the mods I thought might be causing it, but none of it worked. Here's some of screenshots illustrating the point that I can't walk across before the game crashes/freezes: http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/6808/fallout3201007012308044.png http://img807.imageshack.us/img807/5972/fallout3201007012308184.png http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/8455/fallout3201007012308253.png http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/7509/fallout3201007012308328.png Any help would be really appreciated in sorting this out. pkleiss
I have seen this kind of behavior before, but it was with a mod that used the parking lot next to the red-rider factory. The author could not make the CTDs stop and eventually abandoned the area for another one to build his mod. It seemed the area was unstable and developing the area caused all sorts of weird problems besides the CTDs which occurred just as you are experiencing them. That said, try killing yourself, then when the game reloads, try going past your problem area. Alternately, you can go to any empty cell, like the megaton player home. Then wait 3+ days, save and exit the game. Restart Fallout and load this save, then try going past your problem area. These last two things are used when you have a corrupt save, to get the game to load everything from scratch and not use any data in the save game. If the problem still occurs, then I would start to remove mods to see if is being caused by some buggy mod.

The killing myself didn't work, but after going to my Megaton house and waiting for 4 days the problem seems to be cleared up. Thanks very much for your help!
