Oblivion crashes before title screen

now I cant get wrye bash to run, I've installed it and python and followed all the guides... I'm on windows 7 64 bit.

I disabled bladesong and oblivion runs, though it crashes on exit now.

The crash on exit is pretty normal with modified Oblivion. Install Fast Exit 2 (requires OBSE).

Reinstall Wrye Bash. Where do you have Oblivion installed?

Wrye Bash installation:

1) Download the v275 installer, the latest archive version (v285), Wrye Python 03 package

2) Install the Wrye Python 03 package

3) Run the v275 installer

4) Extract the v285 archive into the Oblivion folder. (If you are not prompted to overwrite anything, you are extracting it to the wrong place.)

5) Launch Wrye Bash.

6) If 5 failes, download and install the Wxpython ANSI component

Installed Fast Exit.

No more crash on exit, thanks.

I reinstalled wrye bash.

Installed the ANSI component.

Oblivion is in C:\Games\Bethesda SoftWorks\Oblivion.

Still won't run wrye bash, but while installing the ANSI component it gave an error while compiling the python scripts, it didn't use the directory i pointed it to for the python dir, so it didnt do anything. I tried doing it again, same error.

according to a google search

Bravil Blood&Mud

isn't the basic blood&mud esp

its a side esp for open cities

and bet it needs the real Blood&Mud

so that implies you are still missing the esp with the full name "Bravil Blood&Mud.esp"
I have used B&M for over a year, maybe two now. The full name is Blood&Mud.esp. The Bash LO will tell all about the delinquent and/or missing masters. That's what I want to see...

Yes, but Blood&Mud =/= Bravil Blood&Mud

What was the error? How are you trying to launch Wrye Bash? Are you using the shortcut?

Couldn't didn't directory because it wasn't pointing at the python dir, it was on the default "put path to python here" or whatever directory when it doesn't find python where it expects.

i tried using the shortcut, I also tried double clicking bash launcher.pyw and bash.py neither did anything.

Did you download the 64-bit version of Wxpython? Download the 32-bit version.

OK, that finaly did it, I got wrye bash running, i see the missing masters and am working to correct them.
