Dyshein
I've had this problem for awhile now: basically, when I try to edit textures in my worldspace I am able to change the textures on some areas but others simply won't let me change, and the parts that refuse to be retextured are always blocky as if the engine or CS is not letting me editing a particular square of the terrain. It's really, really annoying because I have no idea why it is happening; sometimes if I use a different texture it will go over it, other times when I try to apply a texture, the textures changes to the previous one instead of the one I"m trying to apply. Is there anything I can do to solve this, or is this just an inherent flaw within the CS engine?
ub3rman123
Try going over the whole area in one texture. An overload of different textures usually causes that.
David Brasher
It needs to be a texture that you use the eyedropper function to pick up from the problem area. ("Contol" + "Right Click.") A texture that already exists in that cell. There is a limit of nine land textures per quadrant of an exterior cell. In landscape editing, push "B" to see cell boundaries. Orient your map to north on top and push "Control" + "I" to see the list of textures by quadrant matching up with your map. From here you can replace textures without using a brush. Dyshein
Thanks for the help~ I figured there must be some way to alter the textures other than the render window, but the CS wiki is a pain in the ass to navigate and rarely has any relevant info concerning problems I have with the editor.
