Getting Oblivion To Look It's Best

Hi everyone, this is my first post and I hope this is the right area to post this. I want to start playing oblivion again now that I have a new PC, but after playing through Crysis the game is looking a tad out dated :P. I have a pretty powerful rig; GTX 480, i7 930, 6gb 1600 Ram. So I am looking for all the advice I can get to get this game looking fantastic, I know there are hundreds of quality mods out there and it's a bit overwhelming to try and figure out which are best, so I am coming to you guys. Basically what I need to know are what config tweaks I need to make to have the game looking it's best (LOD stuff, lighting, anything image quality) and also if there are any tweaks I should make to have the game run better (that don't reduce image quality at all) like, multi-threading settings or something like that. I can run the game at a constant 60fps (vsync) at the vanilla maxed out settings no problem. What is bothering me the most is distance rendering stuff and textures. Is there any way to get the game to render everything without LOD? I mean things like rocks, small shacks and stuff. There is so much pop in, I want to be able to see the up close detail of everything from really far away so I never have to see any kind of pop in at all. I have tried mods such as far view and forever view and increasing tree draw distance in the ini and that helps but there is still tons of pop in for other details. I know there are tons of gfx mods for oblivion but what I am most concern with at the moment is distance rendering and texture quality, I tried quarls texture pack (I think that's the best texture pack available) and they are pretty high res, if I could get distant textures using those to that would be great.

I know I am asking a lot but I just want to see if my PC wouldn't lag if it was rendering everything in the distance at the level of detail as if I was right there. What can I do to make the game look it's absolute best?

What are your system specs?

My BAIN Package List - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=my_bain_package_list <-- I think I have around 100 visual enhancers here. Use the IDs to find the mods here, on TESNexus.

Thanks guys, I tried out quarls texture pack 3 (not the reduce IQ one) with the highest quality set it comes with, it didn't lag at all, my specs are:

My PC isn't overclocked in any way.

EVGA GTX 480

i7 930 @ 2.8Ghz

ASUS P6X58D-E Mobo

CORSAIR XMS3 6GB 1600Mhz

SILVERSTONE ST1000-P 1000W

Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200

Windows 7 64 bit

I'm posting this right before I look at those links so this is why I ask, do any of these tweaks/mods totally eliminate pop in?

Streamline will reduce the Pop-in, but nothing can get rid of it completely. It is part of Oblivion. You do not need specs like that to run QTP3 without a hitch with nothing else, but once you start adding many mods you will notice a difference. The Redimized version looks just as good. Some will say it looks slightly less detailed, but some say it looks better. As far as I am concerned, the not optimized version is not worth the extra VRAM, but that is a personal preference (and you have the specs for it to be just that.) QTP3R is beautiful. You should try it, anyway. If you really want to try to kill your system, add mods, and also add REAVWD. Any VWD mod is a monster among mods (as far as specs go) but REAVWD is the most optimized and the most developed. Couple that with TES4LODGen, and you will actually be using your hardware's capabilities.

Another mod that can help with distant view (but whether you will like it or not is up in the air) is the OGE project's depth of field mod.

You have to get Detailed Terrain. That mod is amazing. Install it with OBMM. Use the guide I linked, the one for Aesthetic Overhauling, to make sure you have the install order right for it and its add-ons though. It is linked on the page linked above. There is no mod like it (as with QTP3.) Another great texture pack is ATP, AmpolX's texture pack. The quality, as far as I am concerned, is even better than QTP, but it is not yet complete. I wish I had some links to some screenies feature his textures.

Do I need to use OBMM, OBSE, OBGE and BAIN? this is getting kinda confusing lol.

Hrmm so I installed quite a few mods and I am barely seeing any difference at all. Probably screwed up the install order or something, getting very frustrated because I just spent 3 hours doing this and the game still looks like ass.

I have installed:

OBMM

OBSE

OBGE

Streamline

UOP + patch for quarls

Quarls 3 best IQ version

RAEVWD

TES4GEN

Landscape_LOD_Texture_Replacement

Detail Terrain

not sure if the LOD replacement, DT and Quarls conflict.

You do not need BAIN. BAIN is not a mod... You can use the others if you want. OBMM is practically required though. Did you set BSA Redirection in OBMM? It is under Settings > Archive Invalidation. Of course a bunch of visual enhancers conflict. That is what those links I gave you are for. Install DT after installing QTP3.
