XEO5

Recommended Posts

I seem to have trouble getting XEO5's heads and bodies skintones to match. It seems that all of the body skintone is the same color white on everyone, while the faces on the npcs vary. I've followed all installation guides, and have tried to look up information on the problem with no results. Is this a known problem? or have I messed up somewhere? I can post more information if needed.

I've got the 2ch MBP pack installed, the XEO5 Pack, and a the lop ear elf packs.

What body replacer you're using? XEO supports vanilla body, ExnemEC or HGEC, and Robert's male body. Of course, it's not recommended to use it with any other cosmetic mod, for it itself is cosmetic mod, too.

I've tried using the bodies in the 2ch Modular Beautiful People mod, as well as HGEC, both yield the same results. if I'm not mistaken XEO requires 2ch MBP? Other than that I'm not using any cosmetic mods right now, though I have used TNR in the past, if that changes anything.

Skin color is skin texture. Ozmos looks great with a female and HGEC, but males will get lighter colored body parts. I will use a skin texture from a folder I install in my game that has assorted skin textures from other mods to fix the mismatching, but that is because I do not have experience with modding tools like Blender and Nifscope. A beard and long hair will cover the problem, and quite a few mods are available with neck seam concealers. Using the exact same body that the modder uses to create the race/cosmetic pack can eliminate the neck meshing problem and also reduce or hide the seam.

XEO never requires any other cosmetic mod. However, there's some modified one that requires MBP, I think. And, make sure you installed body textures correctly, if you have such issues with other cosmetic mods as well. Another thing is, even disabling FaceGen textures(age map and vanilla NPC facial textures) does not make face and body match perfectly. Under some lighting condition, you may see big difference of face and body tone, which is not(or barely) seen in most case.

Huh, the guide I was using told me to use the MBP.

I do know when I disable XEO, body textures will be able to change, but with XEO on, it seems body textures are locked as white. a conflict with older, and now disabled mods perhaps? I do have the facegentexturing disabled. What you describe seems to be my problem, but there are no variances in skin color when using XEO on the bodies at all, but there is on the faces. I hope I'm making sense here. Any ideas on how I could change some things to fix this problem? or should I just reinstall oblivion completely, and retry?

I have HGEC right now.

There are files and such in the XEOT folder, but I'm not sure what to look for to see if it installed correctly.

-Edit-

all right, I feel really stupid now, I just found out I've been modifying the wrong Oblivion.ini file. disabled the facegentexturing on that one, and now everything looks a lot better. sorry for the mixup on my part, but I appreciate your help a lot! didn't realize the file I had to modify was where my saves were, as I was backing everything up my saves to reinstall oblivion.

again, thanks!
