AltreU
In a previous "help" post, I had mentioned that I previously had "cracked" versions of FO3 and DA (not Oblivion, I most definitely bought that with hard earned money), which led to my CPU problem. I didn't have those when I had an account here or at least I'm pretty sure that I didn't and at the time that I asked for help, those "cracked" copies were months gone. Now, I've read over the rules and I've seen plenty of active moderators around here, doing their jobs and simply participating in the community. I've even gone through the list of banned and punished members to see exactly what they did as to not do some things myself. I'm surprised to see a site that actually checks their forums daily, this was previously unheard of. Some other sites I've seen, the moderators actually join in arguments and start sounding like the normal community member they're arguing against. Visualize a monkey arguing with another monkey, but one of them has on police attire. Ya'll have quite the scary, foreboding (not saying your intentions are evil) judge-sitting-in-the-shadows-handing-death-to-some-and-rainbows-to-others image painted in my mind. It's just the internet presence I get from some people. Outside of the net, it's easier to grasp ones demeanor/personality and being an actor, it's something I've become quite skilled at determining those aspects of people. Question is, must one make it sound as if one is currently using pirated software to get the "ban-hammer"? Because if it may be in question whether or not any game I have now is legal, I'd be more than willing to upload pics of me frolicking through the local park with my GOTY case and disks as if we were married, not that I currently have any such pics....http://thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/Dark/whistling.gif Also, should one accidentally merge someone else's mod as a part of ones own (say I made a new location mod and accidentally left a weapon with textures and meshing from someone else's mod in it), would one get banned or warned for that if someone located forgotten merged part and didn't say where or what exactly? I want to maximize my potential for learning and creating through the Nexus, so it'd help if I had these questions answered as to not get the chance to upload some of my projects once completed. I do respect the distaste for pirates that's maintained here as I myself have had plenty of pirate vs ninja debates. Yeah, they're essentially different things really, but to me, a pirate is a pirate and both are just as easily by a kodachi, preferably just stabbed from behind.http://thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/Dark/thumbsup.gif

Or are you just saying you are not a current pirate of FO3 and DA? Now, I've read over the rules and I've seen plenty of active moderators around here, doing their jobs and simply participating in the community. There is not a moderator here that wasn't active in the forums. It is because of their participation that Dark0ne requested their help to enforce the site rules. I've even gone through the list of banned and punished members to see exactly what they did as to not do some things myself.Smart thing to do. Ya'll have quite the scary, foreboding (not saying your intentions are evil) judge-sitting-in-the-shadows-handing-death-to-some-and-rainbows-to-others image painted in my mind.Glad its working. That's because we are a helpful bunch but we don't take kindly to rule-breakers (such as pirates) Question is, must one make it sound as if one is currently using pirated software to get the "ban-hammer"?Well, admitting one is a pirate will definitely get one booted because #1 it is illegal and #2 we just can't have that kind of ignorance floating around. But we have other ways of knowing if people are using illegal copies even if they are trying to conceal it...and no, I'm not telling you how we know. Also, should one accidentally merge someone else's mod as a part of ones own (say I made a new location mod and accidentally left a weapon with textures and meshing from someone else's mod in it), would one get banned or warned for that if someone located forgotten merged part and didn't say where or what exactly?Using items from another mod without giving proper credit will certainly get you into trouble around here. Merging a mod into your own when you know that you are going to re-distribute is NOT a good idea. Even if you remove the meshes and textures, .esp plugin merges can cause compatibility issues with the other mod...which is easy to identify as "ripped" content. Don't do it. Simply put: I had a temporary pirate moment, but now the pirate moment is over, along with its illegal software. Now, I've read over the rules and I've seen plenty of active moderators around here, doing their jobs and simply participating in the community. There is not a moderator here that wasn't active in the forums. No no no, I'm not saying this negatively (the good job for being active tone was lost in translation). I know some of the differences between steam and what a cracked Oblivion would give you. There isn't much to hide beyond that. Most cracked games that I've seen contain the packages from the disk, they just found ways to get around the disk check. LHammondsIt's obviously not a good idea if you previously planned on releasing it. I'm not a part of some team, nor do I have a college degree in computer tech. I just have some things in creation that I thought I had merged a weapon into through the CS (can loading multiple mods do this?). It's the Sanwas, which I used the meshing and texturing for my "test race's" weapon. I asked anyone who downloaded The Highlands (the first one I felt could be released) to alert me of anything that shouldn't be there. Thanks!
