Nihildum
Hey. Not sure if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything. Im trying to edit the nav mesh of an exterior cell in the GECK, but when I try to make a new triangle and "fill" it, it just deselects the three nodes. I can't make any new triangles. Does anyone know what might cause this or how to fix it? Thanks.

Thanks. it sounds like your crossing the border between cells, when your looking at the navemesh is there a thick green line? this line indicates the cell edge you'll need to navemesh up to the boarder on both sides then line both cells navemesh up as best as possible. If done correctly when you finalize your navemesh the green line should fill in again. If your working on a custom worldspace take a look at a vanilla district and you'll see the green lines showing the cell borders. I hope this sounds clear. Nihildum
I do remember green lines. Thanks, I'll try and see if that is whats happening. Okay cool. I think i understand what I was doing now. I've tried to link the different cells up as best I could. Thanks for the help!

I've tried to link the different cells up as best I could. Thanks for the help! Your connection doesn't need to be perfect, close is usually good enough. I always try to navemesh as near to the edge as I can, then drag the nodes in each cell on top of each other at the borders. Next, go through the finalization process. (on both sides.) If there not connected properly with the green line on each side, (you also need to finalize every adjoining navemeshe (that you've altered,) again.) followers and NPC's can act odd if you don't. NPC's and Followers are idiots and, could potentially get lost, not follow or, not attack because they don't know they can move across that area. ( I know I'm being repetitive (sorry!) but, I'm just trying very hard to stress the dangers of not doing it right. ) :teehee: hope this was helpful and feel free to hit me up if you need more help chuck
Nihildum
I'll make sure they're connected with the green line next time I'm working on it. Thanks again!
