tahiri195
I have fransescos mods running on Oblivion. But some of the creatures have instead of weapons "Giant Exclamation Marks" or "!" in a yellow triangle. Now although it was funny at first it is now annoying. Don't ask what weapon it is as I cannot remember. I thought it might be that the graphics for the weapon wasn't there, so I opened TES Construction Kit to have a look and the item is there. Read up a bit on the problem and it says I am overclocking my RAM. Yet! I am not. I have a feeling my RAM is too powerfull for the game and this is the result. Any suggetions or TOTAL ABSOLUTE solutions would be appreciated.
ziitch
I don't think it's overclocking the RAM, but instead it's using all the RAM it can within the set limits of the program, which is a little over 2GB, but the resources require more. Getting this should allow for more RAM to be used in-game and prevent the ! from coming up again. At least, for a long while...
Tomlong54210
The RAM thing makes no sense at all. Yellow exclamation marks indicate missing meshes. TESCS would tell you nothing about that. Do you use Shivering Isles? You need to rename the Fran BSAs to make sure that the BSAs load. BSAs and Archive Invalidation - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=bsas_and_archive_invalidation#BSALoading <-- read this If you have SI, rename the BSAs to "DLCShiveringIsles <BSA name>.bsa". If not, rename the BSAs to "<some other ESPs name (without the .esp)> <BSA name>.bsa" Edit: Regenerate the Oblivion.ini - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=know_how_to#RegenerateTheOblivion.ini <-- the Fran install added entries for those BSAs to the sArchiveList which need to be removed. Regenerating it is safe, since you do not have to modify that list yourself.
