Need Help Regarding Turning A Mod Item To Non Stolen

any way to give it a console cmd?

when you tipe the "help" command, you get a list of commands, i think one of them is to get ownership of the selected object, cant remember what it is though

hi, have you tried selling it to a fence(if youre in thieves guild) and then buying it back? you have to pay more, but just a suggestion. i dont know if it works

Laundering items through a fence should wipe out the red handprint on a stolen item. The caveat of that, of course, is that the stolen item must have some gold value in order to be bought back from a fence.

 

Enchanting an item, by all appearances, destroys that item and replaces it with an identical piece carrying the enchantment. Weapons and armor I've boosted to 125 durability through my Armorer's skill ended up at 100 after being enchanted, indicating that the item in question isn't itself enhanced, but rather it is replaced by an enhanced copy. This has the side-effect of 'cleaning' any handprints off, too.

 

I wouldn't know if either action would work in this case since the item in question has not been described.

 

That fact that it is a mod's item may throw a monkey wrench into issue as well.

 

I have to assume the item isn't compatible with the above techniques— otherwise one could simply play the danged game to get what they want, rather than ask around for a console command or Construction Kit routine.
