pablosplinter Posted July 9, 2010 Share Posted July 9, 2010 hello everyone. new to the forums and would appreciate some help with the nightmare that i am having trying to install oblivion goty on my laptop.i have played oblivion for years on the 360 but recently bought the pc version as i would like to play it at work but i can't install the damn thing.... when i enter the disc the autorun starts but soon this message comes up: No disc inserted.Please insert the original "Oblivion GOTY" CD/DVD.Please have a look at http://www.securom.c...ge.asp?m=nodisc for further, more detailed information. i have tried running in compatability mode and stuff like that but to no avail.i am running windows 7 home premium and my laptop has no problem in actually running the game. any help would be much appreciatedthank you ps sorry, i know, posted this somewhere else by mistake. bben46 Posted July 9, 2010 Share Posted July 9, 2010 Your secureom link doesn't work. The securom used on Oblivion causes very few problems. However, It will block install if you have a NO-CD crack. Or even a legal No CD program such as Alcohol. Either remove the no cd program or maybe rename it. There is more problems with the second disk in the GOTY - It is quite a bit more picky than the first disk. I had to restart my computer in safe mods to get it to install. BTW, I do not have any No CD programs on my computer. I removed the other - identical post.
