My Private Messaging does not work.

My page says that I have 5 Private Messages waiting and 1 unread. But when I try to access them I am confronted with, "[#10227] You are not allowed to use the private messaging system." I seem to be properly logged in and all that and I haven't found any button on my Profile Page to enable this function. Any help would be much appreciated.

View your own profile, and do the following:

 

Click on: Edit my profile.

 

Go to: Settings.

 

Make sure the 'Disable my personal messenger' option is unchecked.

 

That should enable your PM system again.

 

If it's already unchecked and the problem persists then it's something the staff need to look into.

That was it exactly!! It was a case of too many buttons and not enough sense in my case. Thank you very much Mr. Dante.

This is a common problem, you don't want to receive pm's so you block them....then when you want to pm someone you can't. Communications is a two way street, blocking incoming also blocks outgoing.
