HiddenLurker
but the thing is, this only affects fallout 3. all other games even the ones that require higher graphics, e.g. crysis warhead, didn't crash! so it cant be my power supply etc. right? phoneyLogic
As soon as you start modding, you can utterly change the hardware requirements. So using mods which are adding a lot of huge textures it will eat up your vram. If you use mods mit lots of creatures it probably eats up processing time. I don't say that it must be your power supply, but these things are increasingly growing under stress. Maybe the engine is not made for MMM, FOOK, FWE, ... the same time. There always are limitations... What's your OS and how many RAM you have? There seems to be different reasonshttp://search.microsoft.com/results.aspx?mkt=en-US&setlang=en-US&q=1000007e

phoneyLogic
uh windows XP, 4 gb ram but XP only recognizes 3.25gb of ram. This is most likely reason. Try to unplug a modul.(but be carefull)
bben46
A BSOD can be caused when a power supply gets unstable also. Many name brand off the shelf computers (Dell, HP etc) come with a power supply barely able to handle the components they ship with. Adding anything extra can put stress on it - especially a new graphics card. What is the rating on yours? Another possible source is the hard drive. Run the checkdisk and defrag programs to see if they show any problems. As for overheating, here is a link to speedfan, the utility program I use to monitor temperatures on my system - It has a few more useful functions also.http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

phoneyLogic
I think I could be a ram problem since you have 4GB and XP with 32 Bit. If too much RAM is being used because of the mods ... and maybe because your gfx card starts using some RAM ...but maybe I'm wrong. the DLC quests are also showing up (they weren't beforeCan be mod related, last time I read about sth like this it had sth to do with FOOK. Anyway, good luck. If the issue is not being solved you may need to look into your system closely. Like bben46 said there might be a too low power supply which is overwhelmed with your components or a temperature problem ... well, always keep an eye on it ;)
HiddenLurker
alright, will do. but it definitely improved the situation, if not 100% fix. i'll continue to play and see how it goes. and yeah i guess u guys are right, those ''graphics mods'' like project beauty and EVE are really..how should i say it...abundant. i think removing them increased performance. and i've cut down about 50% of my mods so far, i only put those that i thought was ''essential'' for me.
