Mafia ( Forum Game)

Basic Idea:

 

Mafia is an epic game based on the players (The civillians) ability to deduct who is part of the mob, in which they try to avoid getting outnumbered by the mafia. Like Poker in an odd way, the mafia members are also part of the town members during the day, in which they may manipulate the vote to their favor in terms of lynching.

 

This game will work a bit more differently from the original version (Read Mafia). During the night in which I will decide that it shall be, the Mob are to collectively send their hit to me based on their descision on who to kill. (It is a good idea to discuss who you want to kill during the day in terms of discussing using PMs, since I can't make a subforum for your discussions. Any player with a special role during the night time are also to PM me to use their role every night.

 

If the mafia at any time outnumber or equal the townspeople, they win the game. The goal for the townspeople is to lynch all the members of the mafia by whatever analysis, teamwork, or guile they have. The goal of the mafia, of course, is to kill the townspeople with murderous precision.

Cheating:

Cheating includes, but not limited to:

 

1: Posting after your death. You may leave a farewell post, but it must not contain any potential game changing information.

2: Betraying your role and ruining the game for everyone by doing something like handing out the mafia member list to the civillians.

3: Logging on someone else's account / checking their PMs / looking over someone's shoulder to get their role.

4: Checking role PM times to determine roles. (Unlikely.)

5: Posting Screens of your inbox in any manner.

6: Posting any PM you receive from a me. You may post the information that I PM'd you (for example, you may say: I am a detective). You may not copy any PM from the me word-for-word and post in the thread.

7: Editing your post. Do not edit your post for any reason.

 

Voting Rules:

1. Vote in the thread. Please vote in bold. Adding other marks (for example: ##Vote: Bontazor) makes it easier for me to ensure your vote is counted properly.

2. When a player reaches a majority, that player will be lynched and the day will end.

3. You may change your vote at any time. If you do so, please unvote (for example: ##Unvote: Bontazor) so I notice you're changing your vote.

 

Clues:

There will be no clues whatsoever since it is a game based on your reasoning. Team up with the other civillians you trust and base your votes on the person you want to lynch.

Roles:

 

Civillians

You may just be a normal player but you are the backbone of the town. Your goal, with the special roles of the town, is to help bring the Mafia to justice. You get no special powers but the ability to vote during day. Green Roles may look pretty but the real power lies with you!

 

Detectives:

You have the ability to make night investigations. Once per night phase, you may PM me to ask the role of a single player. You will be told that player's role.

 

Medics:

You have the ability to prevent one hit on a player of your choice during the night. You may not protect yourself. You will know if you saved the person. The person will know if he was saved.

 

Mafia:

Your goal is to eliminate everyone else in the town. Your ability, as a group, is killing off whomever you decide on at night and knowing the role of each other player in your mafia. You may kill your own members.

 

Mafia Roleblocker:

Once per night, you may send in a PM detailing a person you would like to block. That person will be notified that they were blocked, and if the person being blocked has a night action, he or she will not be able to use it.
