Deleted252610User
I am unable to download anything from Nexus at all any longer. Is there something other than nexusmods.com that I need to allow? This has been happening for at least 2 weeks. I've tried several times.I get the popup that asks me to grade my previous downloads.. Why oh why have you added this? It is annoying! I finish clicking those and that page goes away and then.. nothing.. thanks ST
iXenite
Perhaps you should try using different browsers and see if that helps.

Oubliette
Hey Spirited, long time no see. There are other browsers besides FF and IE, some users really love Chrome for example, but I use FF's too and have had no problems recently. Are you attempting to download manually or with a manager? And yes, the endorsement reminder is annoying. Thankfully you can shut them off in your site settings.

I was trying to download this gemhttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49130/?I was going to replace some of the more grotty female clothing with the robes.. Also could not get this onehttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12604/? Downloading manually.. It must be some permission I need to set then.. If you are also on firefox and able to download. Deleted252610User
i've looked and I don't see a way to turn off that reminder... Still waiting to see if there are new permissions I need to add for this new downloading system.
Oubliette
i've looked and I don't see a way to turn off that reminder... Still waiting to see if there are new permissions I need to add for this new downloading system. Go to the Skyrim site (or any of the other download sites just can't do it from forum side) in the upper right hand corner beside your avy you'll see something like Spirited Treasure's account and a little drop down arrow. Click on the drop down and scroll to "edit preferences." This will take you to the preferences page which is categoriezed in sections. In the second section, "Global Preferences," you'll see "File rating reminder every" and a drop down box with your choices there. It should be the 6th option in your global preferences section. As for the files not downloading, I've no idea I'm afraid. Just tried doing it manually and it worked fine for me - though I seem to have reset my endorsement reminder :wallbash: Or I've gotten used to downloading everything with NMM where I don't ever see them anyway. Deleted252610User
That was already set to never .. Still get spammed with it. Some of them I don't even remember what they were.. And it seems to come across all Nexus sites to where ever I am logged in..-shrugIt's an annoyance and apparently setting it to never does nothing..-L- Now it's asking me to rate the files I never got.. How can I rate them if I never downloaded them?? Dark0ne.. Anyway thanks Diva.. I guess I will be giving Nexus a miss since I can't download anything here anyway.. DrakeTheDragon
Talking of permissions... What is it you set those permissions in and what permissions did you already set? (I'm a web content developer and thus not using blockers of any kind whatsoever here on my workplace, but it'll definitely help the site devs knowing which ones you are.) If somebody suggests you "try a different browser", they don't mean to permanently switch the one and only browser you're using, but rather knowing it works in Safari or Chrome will tell you it's an issue solely with your FF, the settings, or the plugins you're using, and that's where to look into it more closely then. It's only to diagnose the problem further, not meant as a solution already. And knowing it has always worked in FF until recently, so assuming it can't be a browser thing, won't help much either. As for the reminder popup still popping up even though it's set to remind 'never', keep in mind there's in fact "2" different popups for endorsement in place here. The actual timed 'reminder' is the one that can be configured when to show up or not at all, but there's also the one 'always' coming up in place of the previous download server selection screen, which I'm not sure can even be turned off at all as of now. They're not the same, and most likely not connected. For what it's worth, the file should in fact already be downloading in the background while the site is showing you the "Please remember to endorse this file and any other files you like." reminder popup that replaced the previous server selection screen. You're not getting an error page or anything, the "Endorsements" popup displays, thus confirming your download should already have started even, yet there's just no file downloading at all, correct? This could be a browser or permissions thing, for some reason blocking the download on your end, or it could be a JavaScript thing, blocked from even triggering the download to begin with. Trying in a different browser for once could help eliminate some of these possibilities. Or you could go to your Preferences and change the "Favourite download location" to something else but the CDN (if possible), or change the "File download method" to "Separate page" for once to eliminate JavaScript being the issue. If it is of any help, the new CDN downloads all come from "filedelivery.nexusmods.com", which is a different sub-domain than "www.". So if your blocker doesn't yet allow downloads from this domain, you might need to add another exception for it.
