SPB Mod Removal

Instead of reading the actual rule, Link to Terms and Conditions and reading Dark0ne's explanation, Here it seems that many members are instead reading the posts of other members who found it necessary to comment without bothering to read what they were complaining about.

1. The image share was being overwhelmed with soft core (and sometimes not so soft porn) to the point where that was all you saw there. It was pushing all other kinds images out. The intent of the image share was to allow people to post their game related images, and all we were seeing was nudity, much of which was marginally related to the game if at all.

2. Any underage member could easily lie about their age to get in to see the images tagged as adult only. By instituting a small fee that most underage members would not be able to pay due to not having access to a credit card, and that just about any adult who really wanted to could, we filter most of the underage voyures out. The fee does not even cover the cost to implement it so there is no profit motive there (unless many thousands elect to pay it)

3. This rule does not affect the mods at all and what is allowed there has not changed. The mods (all of them) are still free.

4. There is no lack of other places where anyone can see all of the porn images they want. We do not want the TesNexus to become known as just another porn site.

5. As for the NSFW suggestion, Browsing game sites at work is probably alredy against the rules at most work places. That makes the entire site NSFW even without the nudity. If you are looking at this at work, close it and get back to work before you get fired. :P

@bben46:

I'm sure that some users have not read that rules but if you follow the link you will see the opposite -in my case- and which is more important: a direct question to the staff.

As far as I know you are a member of the staff so instead of copying / pasting the 5 reasons "why this is as it is" I really would appreciate that you read my entire post.

I have not problems with the deletion of porn images uploaded by users without any relation with the game in the mod webs. This is something I already explained in my post.

In my case my complain is not about the rules but about the incorrect application of them in a specific case and an user forced to delete files -Mods- without logical reasons.

Anyway in my opinion all this is an hypocrite idiocy. But I assume that no one living in a society will agree with me so...

I hope that you (or someone from the staff/moderation) read the 2 posts and answer/consider my questions, all what I have said have been considering the rules.

And other point I'm not fully able to understand: Oblivion is rated as a game with mature content in any official web.

http://www.bethsoft.com/eng/games/games_obliv_goty.html

If underage users can't (or shouldn't) buy & play the game because of the mature content, tesnexus is a web with explicit +18 diverse content.

Game=+18 ----> Web of the game with content related to the game= +18

(+18 in my country, depending on the location)

I can not understand why there are classifications of mature & non-mature content when the entire web should be consider as mature content due to obvious reasons. The register of underage users (age depending on the location) should be prohibited.

You are right. However there is NO way to verify age and the underage people will lie just to see what they are not supposed to. If you have a suggestion on how to keep underage people out of places they are not supposed to be please let us know. I have seen posts by 12 year olds who are playing a game they supposedly they can not buy.

If you read my earlier post, One of the primary reasons for the change was to keep the image share from becoming just another porn site. Many talented people have stopped posting pictures just because the image share is swamped with nude pictures - by some estimates well over 85% of the pics were nudes with no real connection to the game beyond using the game to make the images.

Dark0ne purposely created a new image section just for those type images and has tried to limit access to those mature enough, The fee is that limiting factor as underage people rarely have a credit card

Well after reading the posts made here and in the Upload section I can safely say that the purpose of this post of mine is accomplished. I was simply desperate to know what happened, but as a newcomer I had no one to find the answer from so I went to the forums. I apologize if I did wrong by starting this topic as I should have read the rules and terms it seems. I commented on SPB's latest mod that I respect his decision no matter what it may be and I still feel that way. I attributed nothing to his work so I have no say in what he does with what he gave freely. My regret is that before this event took place I actually had the time to download all the new mods he uploaded but decided not to because I thought that I could another day. My loss it seems. Thank you for the responses and again if I did something wrong forgive me.
