BIIIIG PROBLEM !!

i didnt play oblivion for some days , didnt uninstalled or anything , today i wanted to play again... but somehow... my old mods seem to not work anymore =(

there were so many... not it just doesnt work to load a save file... the game just breaks at beginning of loading screen for saved game... what can i do ? its too hard to find all mods again... there were so many...

can someone help ?

(did they made the whole forum white now or did i changed something on settings ? looks weird in these colors)

(edit) (huh now its black again o.O am i going crazy or do they really change every time i go on this forum ? xD)

whats a load order ? someone already sended me a link for a tutorial for it or something... but i didnt understand

It's a list of all your active mods in the order that they are loaded in the game.

 

You may need to READ THIS a bit.

 

Some mods, if they aren't loaded in a specific order, may cause your game to crash.

Did you change anything on your computer? If so, you may need to reset the Oblivion.ini file where all of the hardware info is kept.

On XP go to C:\documents and settings\your user name\my documents\my games\Oblivion.

On Win7 or Vista C:\users\your user name\My documents\My games\Oblivion

find the Oblivion.ini inside the Oblivion folder there and delete it. When you restart the game it will automatically build a new Oblivion.ini.

You may have to set your video manually if it is not recognized.

 

If that dosn't work, try this - it may save having to reinstall

I think you can use OBMM or Wrye Bash to export loading order as text file? And, if it is really your currrent loading order... Oblivion.esm should be always on the top.

changed it to the top o.o and it still dont works o.o

'Oblivion has stopped working' is always if i want to load a saved game... normal start works... but not saved...

i want my old characters back =(

Do you have BOSS yet? Better Oblivion Sorting Software (TESNexus php?id 20516) with the latest BOSS log and a little trial and error placing the mods that BOSS does not recognise (put the mods esp close to another esp that adds the same kind of stuff to the game, if the unrecognised mod places armor in a chest in Anvil, then try to put it near mod that adds armor to a chest in Anvil) can make your saves playable again. On one of these Oblivion Forum sub sites there is a pinned Topic about how to recover a saved game, but you should try BOSS and possibly Wrye Bash before you mess trying to fix a save that may not be broken.

If you had read my earlier post, you would not have had to type the list by hand. Plus, if you copied it from the game data list, it isn't a true load order. If you don't have OBMM, BOSS or Wrye Bash, you do not have a way to see the real load order. Here it is again
