FOSE Help Needed

I deleted and re-extracted FOSE recently to make sure it wasn't the culprit for another technical problem. Unfortunately, now I can't seem to get it running again. I'm getting the common message that the launcher can't find the fallout.exe file, but as far as I can tell, they are both in the same folder (steam\steamapps\common\fallout3.) When I try to run the FOSE launcher I get a message stating "Couldn't find C:\windows\system\fallout3ng.exe" which perplexes me because that isn't the directory the launcher and the main game file are in. I haven't been able to find a solution, and figured someone more tech-savvy than me here on the Nexus might have a stupidly simple fix I somehow missed. If anyone has suggestions for finding my problem or knows of a thread I missed that has one, I would appreciate it.

Try this: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/981739-fose-steam-game-time/

If it doesn't work, look for the gear in the upper right of this page and left click on it. It will open the search engine. In the "Find words", enter this exactly "FOSE with steam" (with the quotation marks). Look down the page to "Display results" and left click the "As posts" button

I appreciate the quick reply, but I don't see any fixes applicable to my problem. While I would like access to the steam interface and such, right now I can't run the game with FOSE at all, with or without the interface. Attempting to start with the FOSE launcher file, NMM's FOSE button, or a renamed FOSE launcher through steam all result in the file not found error. As I understand it, placing the .dll and .exe launcher files from the fose_v1_2_beta2.7z zip off of the Silverlock site download should allow FOSE to function properly. But it doesn't seem to be doing so and I have no idea why...

Edit: Returning the original Fallout launcher and renaming the FOSE launcher seems to have done something... I can now get to the main menu, although any selections after that cause crashes to desktop.
