mrguberry Posted October 15, 2014 Share Posted October 15, 2014 Hello, Ok so when ever I make a mod with new textures/ meshes all I do to upload it is to right click on each folder I've made and then click to add it to an archive I've made for it. Then I would upload the .rar file to the nexus. However no matter what when people download it and put the files where mine where it still gives them the red error because the meshes and textures cant be found by the game? I don't get why this happens cause it even does it to me if I delete my files then download and use my mod. Any help will be great. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ArekkusuStorm Posted October 15, 2014 Share Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) Alright, so I checked out your exotech mod. First thing's first, you named your folders ExoTechMeshes/Textures <-- Nooo. It should just be named 'meshes' and 'textures'. Or, if you really want to, you can put the 'ExoTechMeshes' folder into the 'meshes' folder and 'ExotechTextures' into your 'textures' folder, just make sure your nifs link to the right location for your textures. Secondly, this doesn't change anything but I would have a folder called 'Exotech' as your main mod folder, then put a 'data' folder in. After that, put the meshes and textures folder as well as your .esp into the data folder. When you're creating the rar/zip, just right click your Exotech folder and click the add to Exotech.rar or whatever it says. So in the end you getExoTech>Data>>Meshes>>>Whatever .nifs you have>>Textures>>>Whatever .dds' you have>>ExoTech Development.esp Edited October 15, 2014 by ArekkusuStorm Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
