Hey so I was watching gopher's old video on installing Skyre, and I was wondering if the mod being version 1301 still need the balbor and steelsouls skyreproccer project mod? And if so should i download afterwards and yes to all?

Depending on what mods you're running, you may not need the compatibility patches. The ReProccer (made by the guy who make SkyRe) aims to take care of all compatibility problems for you, and it is easy to use once you follow the instructions. The Xathra compatibility patches are only of use if you use certain mods that have odd idiosyncracies that the Reproccer can't understand on its own.

Personally, I found that Xathra compatibility patches page to be the most confusing and cluttered page on the whole Nexus. I haven't bothered with it in the end, and have just been using the ReProccer. No problems so far.

In theory, the ReProccer is supposed to eliminate all incompatibilities such as the one you mention, by scouring your mod list and creating a custom-built patch specific to you. The whole point of it is that it's supposed to eliminate the need for extra patches such as the xathra patches. I guess the fact that the Xathra patches are so popular suggests that the ReProccer doesn't always work as intended without some extra help.

Personally, the xathra page is so confusingly and vaguely communicated that I just lost patience with it. so I can't tell you much about what those patches do or don't do. You should ask there if you want info about whether or not the mods you are using require a patch.

I suspect (though I certainly could be wrong) that using a bashed patch (which I do, and which is a simple process) eliminates some of the problems that the xathra patches are trying to eliminate.
