HELP WITH SIMPLE MOD

Recommended Posts

Since apparently nobody took an interest in my last post, I'll make things brief.

I NEED SOMEONE TO RECOLOR THE SPELL "SPARKS" TO BE BLACK AND SILVER.

That's it. I just need someone to do this quick, easy task. I will credit whoever does this when I am able to post the finished mod.

Seriously, can none of you great modders out there really take a single minute of your time to do a quick recoloration?

If this doesn't get SOMEONE'S attention, I don't know what will.

Thanks. Sorta.

Having just tried this "quick, simple recoloration" - it's not at all quick or a simple recoloration.

The texture itself is easy enough, but the nif is the problem, as there's no explicit texture data contained within - it's buried in the particle system, which, to my knowledge, is inaccessible at that level.

I realized that. I've been trying to figure it out, but everything I end up trying gets me further from a completed retexture.

The way you're asking comes out as rather rude so... Nobody HAS to help you anyway.

I realize that as well, but nobody responded to the "nice" one. I figure this one at least has some effect, rather than "please help me I have no clue what I'm doing," which just makes me sound like someone who has to have everything given to them.

Extract the textures bsa, find the texture for it, recolor it, save, done. It's so simple you could do it yourself. Unless........it's not so simple.

I ended up trying to do that. Recoloring those textures was difficult enough, but I also have to alter the Nifskope animations, as DrNewcenstein said, which is much harder. But compared to the crazy stuff great modders can do, this at least seems simpler by comparison.
