LAME Spell descriptions

Is there an easy way to find out what some of the more obscure spells in LAME do? I picked up something called Teddy bear, and I see that it summons a bear that I can activate to turn everyone around me green, but I don't exactly know what that means. There are a lot of other examples, but they are mostly just the scripted effect spells like Benevolent Ancestor and things like that.

Also, are the custom spell effects supposed to each have their own icon, or just use the same icon?

The mod author specifically stated they do not want `spoilers' on their spells, so I suspect no such list exists. I have been using trial and error myself, but also cannot work out what several spells do. I would put that down as a `design flaw'.

All script effects are supposed to have the same icon, as you are seeing. This is not unique to LAME and can be seen in many other mods that add script effects.

I am sure everyone noticed the stickies and reads more than just the front page too. I know I do.

If I remember correctly Benevolent Ancestor summons a ghost who casts a mild healing spell on you when you activate him (spacebar). Cast any damaging spell on him to unsummon him. I haven't used Teddy Bear but if everyone around you is turning green it might mean they have been charmed. Check their disposition before and after you cast it to see if that's the case.

You can always take a look at the plugin in the CS or TES4Edit to see what the various spells actually do.

[rantmode]It kind of frustrates me when plugin authors do this sort of thing to prevent spoilers, but I mean come on. Once you have the spell in your inventory you should be able to know exactly what it does. If I want to experience the mod to its fullest then I want all the information needed to get me going. If I (the user) don't want spoilers then I'll simply not look at the information.[/rantmode]
