Shaun919
Hi everyoneI know this isn't a mod issue but i am not sure what to do, right i had to uninstall oblivion because i was having problems with it (pinks textures on clothes) and i wanted to start again with no mods. I uninstalled it then restarted my computer then tryed to install it, once that was done i installed the two expansions (SI and KOTN), when that was done i press play and i got this message "Oblivion has stopped working". So i thought, hang on i am getting a CTD without any mods on, so i check options on the splash screen and pressed default, however its then says "video hardware unregonized". I am guessing it because i had to up date my drivers to play Battlefield Bad Company 2. If anyone knows what i should do or if i have missed something really obvious please comment, i am still not good with computers  so please explain anything in detail. bben46
The uninstall that comes with Oblivion doesn't really uninstall the game. It leaves behind quite a bit of stuff, including everything in the data folder that was not installed by the original installer, such as any mods or other stuff placed there by mods. All of the save games, The original Oblivion.ini (that tells it what your hard ware is and several entries in the Windows Registry. So when you reinstall, that stuff will still be there. Deleting the folders will still leave the registry entries. If you need to completely reinstall:Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=240 It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.
