DeathWarrior
I recently bought a BFG-made NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT OC (stock overclocked) that was used but in really good condition. I also have the latest drivers for it. It's been working great in my games so far, including Fallout 3 where I see a significant performance increase with High-Very High settings. Most of the time when I enter VATS the game will be fine, but sometimes it will crash my entire computer and cause it to reboot. Any solutions? Also, I REALLY don't want to revert to older graphics drivers unless it's the only possible solution. I didn't have this problem with the 7950 GT I used to have, but it and other games performed slower on it so reverting back to the old card is not an option either. I have a legal copy of Fallout 3 patched to version 1.4 (I think it's 1.4) with mods.

DeathWarrior
That not only fixed it, but I think VATS also runs much faster. Thanks!
DeathWarrior
It's crashing again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: What should I do? I might try to reinstall the patch, but reinstalling drivers and/or the game itself is NOT an option unless it's the only possible solution because I REALLY don't want to. Any other thoughts? I recorded processor temperature in CoreTemp (even though it's likely a graphics card problem) and the temperature was between 50-60 Celsius, which is fine according to CoreTemp. As I said in the first post my card is stock overclocked. Any overclock utilities someone would recommend? Im going to try installing the latest motherboard, sound, and graphics drivers and NVIDIA system toolsor another GPU overclock program, I'll edit this post after every solution I try. EDIT: Installed Motherboard driversEDIT 2: Installed Sound driversEDIT 3: Installed Graphics drivers, PC is running fine as is Fallout 3, I'll continue testing and make a new post if it crashes again.
