parmarskates
I know build orders and stuff matter, I was just wondering if there was an optimized order in which to install a bunch of mods I have? (to prevent overwrite problems etc).I assume model based mods (weapons, textures etc) aren't important so I'll just list the gameplay one here: MMMEVEFWEFallout Weapons Overhaul (model based, but I think it changes spawning stuff as well?)FelloutFOIPWMK Also one other question: for FOIP am I supposed to install all the combinations of compatibility patches? Thanks for the answers! It'd be cool if I use BOSS > Merged Patch after I follow the installation order you guys recommend?
M48A5
Look to Paradox Iginition for merged mods http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/16787/? Blackened for compatibility patches http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/18173/? I would install in this order: FWE, EVE, MMM (Paradox Ignition), FWO, WMK, Fellout (Paradox Ignition), Blackened-MMM-FWE-EVE, FOIP-WMK-FWE. And what do you mean for merged mods? Do you mean merged patches? Sorry I'm kind of new to modding, I just started like last week. >.>And also for FOIP I was wondering if I needed to install all the patches for it? How exactly does it interact with other comp. patches like Blackened? Thanks so much for the quick reply I really appreciate it!
M48A5
What I am saying is that you would use Blackened for some mods and FOIP for the ones not covered by Blackened. If you look at Fellout, Mart's Mutant Mod or EVE, there are various files to be installed. Paradox Ignition has take them and merged them into one file to be installed. A merged patch is something else altogether. With FOIP, you would only install the compatibility patches that are not duplicated with any other compatibility patch. That is why I suggested you use Blackened combination patch of MMM-FWE-EVE and to use the FOIP patch of WMK-EVE. If you decide to go with the Blackened patch, it can only be used with the Paradox Ignition version of MMM. Keep in mind that compatibility patches are to load after the last mod they are patching.
