please help me!

i installed oblivion on my computer and everything was fine no errors but when i get into the game and go to new game, the character is all white with rambow coloured eyes but the menu with name, race ect where you make the adjustments to your liking are there. When i say ok the game is also the same, WHITE.

does anyone know why my game is doing this? i have repeatedly installed it but it ia always the same.

Hmm... sounds like it could be an issue with your graphics card. Have you tried other games to see if you get the same effect? Also, try turning the graphics down to minimum and see if that helps. It's possible your card isn't rendering some of the texture maps properly, I guess.

If it does happen in other games, or even at low graphics, then I'd suggest checking your card's temperature to make sure it's not overheating. If it's GeForce then go via right click on Desktop, NVIDIA Display > (monitor name here) then click on Temperature Settings under your card's name.

Umm well I don't really know. Sorry. ^^; The pink textures could be due to an overheating issue, or not. Have you tried updating your drivers?

Hmm... strange. If your card isn't an NVIDIA and the technique I posted above doesn't work then I don't know, sorry. Different brands of card have different ways of checking temperature.

Just what card are you using? Is it quite old? I would imagine it's a problem with the graphics card rather than anything else.

The problem is your Video card, it is old doesent have 2.0 shaders, either get a new one(one that the box says works for it) or go to www.oldblivion.com and DL that program and it will convert the shaders to 1.1 and then you should have no problems playing the game.

Thats what I did on my friends computer and it works fine for him, but it wont look as pretty as if you went and bought a new card
