MagisterTremere
Dude... I am so on board with you about the omissions you mentioned and many, many others. Another thing that irks me is that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to why the Lone Wanderer would choose to destroy the Citadel at the end of Broken Steel. I personally could understand why, but in the context of the game, there seems to be no justification one way or the other. My thoughts are that the player sees their parents legacy (Project Purity) being perverted by the Brotherhood of Steel (think Scribe Bigsley, rationing water to whomever they deem worthy, etc...) and concludes that they are actually no better than the Enclave or the Outcasts for that matter. While this makes sense to me, I can't understand why there's no such reference in the game itself. I wish I had enough experience in modding to take on a project like this. I've certainly played with the idea in my head enough. For example: 1. Hiring a Raider party to find Dr. Li and bring her back to help take over Project Purity.2. Getting Pinkerton to help reprogram President Eden in order to take over Raven Rock.3. Rebuilding Grayditch (the nearest structurally sound settlement near water).... and the list goes on. Suffice it to say that there are a lot of wacky omissions in this game, but these don't take away from it's curious replay value. I guess this is what makes the game commercially viable while not necessarily technically or logically so.

WHY? :wallbash: Not bad! As to bicycles. Without rubber tires which are no longer made in Fallout 3, metal rims make for a really jouncy ride. I know. I was stupid enough as a kid to try that one personally. And the roads? Whoa. I go back to my original and say that dirt, after the pavement is swept away by dozers would make decent bike trails without going over the handlebars in the deep ruts continuously. As for horses. If a raider or super mutant will eat ants, dogs and cockroaches, "ol paint probably got consumed a hundred years before the lone wanderer was ever born? Best I could do on short notice. multitaskingmomma
can't believe I missed that either tbhwhat an excellent idea!We had a scrap heap growing up, was the best place to play ever conceived of, although it's a miracle none of us ever got hurt. I do think I'd prefer the bulldozer over a tractor, not that there's anything wrong with tractors! Just... now I have visions of trundling over mine fields and demolishing things a little more personally :D That would be a load of fun!
Meckon
In New Vegas I would like to see:1. A patch for the CTD on loading / saving.2. The major mods carried over.3. Further NPC reaction to circumstances beyond the player. i.e. When I show up with Fawkes at the Citidel they should bar me access or react to him some how. Same with Charon for that matter.4. I want to be able to renew the environment. i.e. Recycling scrap heaps or something. This why I like RTS NW so much because you can blow up scrap piles and put scrap cars in Bess. All for now. Weelllllllllll? I think you got part of it. From all I've read, Vegas is being built on the same engine so most Mods should slide over with minor tweaking but, we don't even really know what the storyboard is all about, YET. As far Fawkes? If you're pip-boy has a red bar for the NPC, kill it. All others are supposed friendly. Fawkes is just an oddity like so many other things which would not fly in the real world. I usually use Talon Company armor until I can get my hands on Reilly's battle armor. Talon armor is cheap, can be found almost everywhere you want to kill a few of those clowns and make great stocking stuffers to repair the Ranger armor. Doesn't it seem a bit odd that all of those mercs from Talon are hated everywhere and yet you, The lone wander can saunter in anywhere dressed out in their armor and no one take a shot at you? Tried changing the sex of my character once to see if anyone would notice and the gender in the modified race/sex stayed the same with the NPCs I normally encountered. The bug list of WHY could go on for another page and a half. It's a game, I guess?
